THE FINALS – How to Counter Light Swords

Tips to Counter Light Swords

  • Keep your ears open for the sound of stealth activating/deactivating.
  • It takes 3 hits to kill you, so if you’re in the open, a quick jump pad can give you room to shoot them.
  • Just jumping out the window, off a ledge, ziplining, or any quick getaway to give you space.
  • Don’t stand still unless you’re in a corner with a clear view of every possible angle they can sneak in from.
  • Invisibility gives off a telltale blur whenever they move, so if you hear them or get away and they re-stealth, keep your eye for that and shoot at it. A single hit will deactivate it.
  • Other than that, mine the **** out of any enclose space. Gas, explosive, turrets, sonar, whatever.
  • If you do get caught vulnerable, don’t bother trying to aim. Just spray and pray. It takes few hits to kill a Light. Worst case, you’ll miss and die (which you would anyway), make them a free kill for any teammate or hazard, or at least force them to back off for a bit to heal.

  1. Any chance of adding spell points to this? That’s the one stat I haven’t been able to find much information on.

    • Spell points are the same amount for all casters. 16, iirc. Enough to master your starting spell and 2 more mastered spells. You can get one more with Arcane Knowledge (I think that’s the right skill), which gives 2 spell points basic and another 4 for mastered.
So the max amount of mastered spells you can have is 4.
Note: I might be wrong on that number, but fairly certain it’s right.
