The Sims 4 – How to Obtain the Cow Plant

In this guide I will explain how to obtain the cow plant and explain what its useful for.

Fishing

• In the waters of the forgotten grotto.
• In Oasis Springs Desert Bloom Park’s watering hole
• In the waters of Magnolia Promenade. (The sims: get to work required!)

Exploring space with a rocket

Grafting plants (gardening lvl 7 required)

1. Plant a Snapdragon and a Strawberry.
2. Take the cuttings of each plant when they are large enough.
3. Use the cutting on the Strawberry plant to create the Dragonfruit plant.
4. Take cuttings of the Snapdragon and Dragonfruit plants and use them on the plant with the cutting of another. This will get you the Cowplant berry.

Cheating it in

1. Ctrl+Shift+C.
2. testingcheats true
3. bb.showhiddenobjects
4. Search for “Cowplant”

Depending on the level gardening skill your sim has, you will have different actions unlocked.

Maturing of The Cow Plant

This process will only take a couple days. Make sure to water the plant enough.

Three phases of age for the cow plant:

Stem

Mature

Death of The Cow Plant

Of course like almost anything else in the sims 4, this plant can die.

If left unfed for 24 hours long, your cow plant will die and all that there will remain is a skull.

Interactions with The Cow Plant

Once the plant is mature, some new interactions are unlocked.

Make sure to keep the plant alive by feeding it every 12 hours.

Interactions with the matured cow plant:

• Feed
• Play
• Eat Cake
• Milk

Milk is only produced once your cowplant has eaten, or attempted to eat a sim.

The milk you will get from your cow plant will be based on the emotional state of the eaten sim.

If the eaten sim doesn’t make it out alive, the cow plant will create an “essence of life” drink. This drink allows your sim to live on for longer. Your sim will also get a happiness moodlet from this – collect a sample.

Beware: The cow plant will lure a Sim with cake once its hungry. When you see this happen, make sure your sim feeds the plant and does not try to eat the cake. If they do try to eat the cake, there is a chance that the cow plant will eat your sim alive. Its possible to be spit out by the plant, or actually return as a ghost.

Secret interaction:

• Dance.

This will be possible if you put a speaker beside the plant. You’ll be able to dance with your cowplant once you turned on the music.
