In this guide i will explain what hardcore dungeons are and how they work and how to get into them.
Guide to Hardcore Dungeons
The Hardcore Dungeons and everything they bring are available on PC and Mobile! There are 3 Hardcore dungeons in the game, one in Greece, one in Egypt and one in Hades.
They aren’t all available on normal, they become available to you as you progress with difficulties. On normal only Greek one is available, on Epic the Greek and Egyptian ones are available, and on Legendary all 3 are available.
The Greek one is called Fissure of Chaos, the Egyptian one is Chaos Serpent’s Domain and the Hadean one is Remnants of Chaos.
They are hardcore dungeons because if you die while in the dungeon, you cannot re enter without reloading the game (from the Main Menu- how you would if you were farming anything).
Each dungeon requires 3 keys to be opened, they are named according to the dungeons names above, and once you use them they get consumed but unlock that dungeon for that character on that difficulty, which means in total you need 9 Fissure of Chaos Keys, 6 Chaos Serpent’s Domain keys and 3 Remnant’s of Chaos keys.
These keys drop from all end of act bosses (3 Telkines, Typhon, Hades, Atlantis’ Telkine, Surtr and The Ten Suns) and Manticore. Same as how the dungeons become available on certain difficulties, so do their corresponding keys. On normal difficulty you can only get Fissure keys, on epic you can get Fissure and Chaos Serpent keys and on Legendary you can get them all.
The keys are also available in Electrum orbs following the same difficulty pattern, but their drop rate is quite a bit worse than end of act bosses drop rate.
The dungeons have 2 exclusive sets which each have an Epic and Legendary variant and 2 legendary tier relics that drop only from the end of the dungeon chest (with or without killing the end boss).
The dungeons have 5 exclusive items that drop from dying mobs (and very rarely from the end of dungeon/boss chests) – The items are: Ares’ Weakness, Perseus’ Discus, Medusa’s Anguish (staff), Bow of Upis and Baguette (sword).
The mobs can also drop attribute respec potions, of which there are 6- one for each attribute and 1 for all potion. The mobs also have a chance to drop a stone of mastery, a consumable that for a short time gives you the effect of a shrine of mastery.
This is how the keys look:
Finishing the dungeon for the very first time and killing the boss gives you a permanent reward (similar to how Olive Branch quest in Delphi gives you a permanent reward). The rewards are random from a list and go as presented in the image.
