Total War: Shogun 2 – Avatar Conquest (Solo)

A guide on how to play Avatar Conquest vs the AI and still gain XP, capture provinces and progress your Hero.

Description

Сrеdit gоеs to Ren !

Due to the lack of people playing Avatar Conquest, it is almost impossible to progress. Whether your intentions are to obtain achievements or get up to speed with experienced players, using this guide you will be able to set up a game vs the AI that grants experience points and progression. No mods are required and it is fairly simple to do.

How-To

The first thing you’ll want to do is go to your Conquest Map and move your avatar’s army onto the province you intend to battle for.

Then select Battle List and Host Battle. Create a game name and add a password to prevent others from joining your lobby – If your intentions are to progress with the Avatar Conquest campaign, make sure “Classic Battles” is not ticked.

Once on the Multiplayer Battle screen, follow these steps:

  • Remove all pre-existing player/AI slots
  • Add three players to your team
  • Add three players to the opposing team
  • Add an AI player to the opposing team
  • Modify either army to your liking
  • Change the battle difficulty setting to Hard, then Easy, then Normal
  • Play out the battle ensuring it lasts at least two and a half minutes (150 seconds)

You should be granted XP and have conquered the province on the Conquest Map.

Rinse and repeat the process to continue farming.
