Voidigo – General Tips

Tips in General

Сrеdit gоеs to immodulated!

Always be running!

I almost never ran for the longest time for some stupid reason. Don’t do that. Run pretty much everywhere. I recommend changing run to toggle in options. This make it easier to always be running.

Always be jumping!

The game might as well be called Jumpigo. Jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, in that order, with that cadence. Jump and as soon as you land jump again. I know it sounds dumb but when you are jumping you are mostly invulnerable. It also knocks enemies down and if you keep chaining jumps onto enemies in a combo it will do massive damage once you finally land (plus it saves ammo). It’s also the only (or maybe just the easiest) way to deal with some situations, like the Puppetmaster boss situation for example.

Always be moving!

Do not stand still, ever. Even if you are in a room where you think you are safe. (Especially if you are in a challenge room that you have just defeated, because just when you think you can relax and pick up your spoils, some BS ghost will streak out of nowhere and blast you from full health down to a sliver of one heart.).

Mobility is just about everything

I also recommend looking for all opportunities to trade stuff for extra hearts. You should find about one opportunity on average per level to do so, sometimes more. There’s almost nothing I won’t trade for an extra heart…maybe a fully upgraded ability but even then, it’s probably not a bad trade for more life.

About challenge rooms

When you enter the initial room with the multiple doors to choose from, go for the rooms that set a condition like ‘Do not move when the light is red!’. If you pick those rooms, and complete the challenge per the description, you will get an extra upgrade bundle. You’ll want that for sure.

Oh, one more thing. With most weapons, especially melee weapons, try simply holding down the fire button while you prioritize your running, jumping, and moving around enemies. The weapon mechanics in this game typically involve significant delay between pressing (and holding) fire and actually executing a shot or melee strike. By simply holding down fire, and focusing on jumping (from enemy to enemy or just from one spot on the ground to another, doesn’t matter, just keep jumping) while you keep your aim targeted toward an enemy, your weapon will eventually squeeze out its ordinance or your melee weapon will eventually swing and you don’t need to worry about it as much. Movement is priority one.
