Questions and Answers about Horses
What’s the best horse?
There isn’t one ‘best horse.’ It’s all subjective because people prioritize different things in their horse whether it’s stats, size, appearance, etc (also important to note that horse temperament/bravery is random per horse and per situation). In general, you can’t go wrong with any of the top tier multi-class or superior-class horses!
What’s the fastest horse?
Speed is a negligible stat (difference between them is very very insignificant) but anyway – the horses that can reach max 10 speed (with the nacogdoches & hooded stirrups) are: top tier thoroughbred, top tier nokota, missouri fox trotter, rank 20 criollo, and rank 20 norfolk roadster
What’s the bravest horse?
According to datamined information on horse temperament, the coding for horses’ fear reactions are all the same. There are no discriminators for horse breed, horse class, or horse size. The only things that determine fear reactions are proximity to danger, duration in proximity to danger, type of danger (ex: gunshots, predators), calming, and bonding level. As a tip: make sure you are calming your horse if it is agitated or if you anticipate they’ll become agitated. To calm, make sure you are holding down on the calm button – not spam clicking it.
TL;DR: every horse has the same temperament.
What’s the best saddle?
The “best saddle” is generally considered to be the nacogdoches saddle. This is because it gives +3 stats in speed and acceleration while all other saddles only give +2 stats. It’s also because the base stamina bar drain rate reduction is 35% which is pushed to 85% when you add the best stirrups in the game, the hooded stirrups. This is the highest possible stamina bar drain rate reduction.
However, other saddles which high reduction include: upland saddle (65%) and special saddles (50%). These saddles cannot have stirrups swapped and therefore are locked at that reduction. Ultimately, the difference between these saddles is minimal especially when used on a top tier horse so pick one that you like the look of best!
