Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms – Support Capabilities by Cost

Though there are guides for which abilities champions get on each level, I hope to total up the effectiveness of their support abilities only and to rank them from total cost by that point. This way you can compare champions purely in a support role while using whoever you will use for damage and planning an effective formation.

Other Idle Champions Guides:

How Bonuses Stack and how I will show them

All credit goes to Dunatis2000!

All bonuses are multiplicative if they are of a different type/from a different ability and when a bonus is listed such as Crusader’s Manlte ability +100% it is doubling the effect of the ability.

200% damage boost + 125% Crusaders Mantle + 100% all champions = 3 x 2.25 x 2 = 13.5x damage or 1450% boost not 425%

Rally ability +100%, +100% and +300% would mean 100% x2 to 200% x4 to 800% so Rally would do 800% boosting. I know this is true since that is how it is listed in the abilities section so I will list it like that.

All Champions damage multiplies seperately so +100%, +100% and +100% would mean x2 damage total to x4 damage total which is a +300% boost then X8 total which is a +700% boost. I am kind of assuming that this is how it works since that is what makes sense but it may not be entirely accurate based on how the specific abilities seem to stack in percentile rather than total effect. There may be that 100% discrepency but it should make little difference in comparisons.

When I list the bonuses that you get from their abilities I will show them as both the amount added that specific time the ability is bought and the total from all abilities combined thus far. I will also see about placing them beside each other based on approximate total cost to get to that point. It will not be exact but if you are in that range of Gold you will generally have access to abilities in that area. I am doing it this way since heroes level at different rates and can be hundreds of levels apart even if they share the same slot so comparing their effectiveness will be easier using costs rather than pure levels.

Finally I will be using base values, not ones with equipment so you will have to add in what you have and multiply ability values if need be. The right equipment can change everything and can be levelled further but cannot be easily thrown into such a table, hell it is likely impossible without a spreadsheet which incorporates it all for you. Honestly I would love to see such a spreadsheet but for now I will work on these tables.

Big ol’ Table

And by tables I mean link to a google doc which has the tables, to actually manually edit and put them in here would be insane and wouldn’t allow some formatting options that make it easier to read.

Slot #1 – Bruenor Breakdown

Bruenor had Rally which will boost all members in the same column as him seperate from boosting all crusaders. The battle specialization cripples his Rally long term and even removes some boosts to all crusaders including that Rally effects Bruenor as well. After time from how it all adds up it makes the battle specialization nigh useless but perhaps in certain specialised adventures in the future it can prove useful with him as a main DPS.

Bruenor (Battlemaster)

  • 1363 – Rally +100% – Level 50
  • 4.90e5 – Specialization – Rally +100% (200%) – Level 150
  • 1.67e8 – All Champions +100% – Level 250
  • 2.909e9 – Rally +300% (800%) – Level 300
  • 1.04e12 – All Champions +200% (500%) – Level 400
  • 8.133e13 – All Champions +100% (1100%) – Level 475
  • 2.71e14 – Rally +200% (2400%) – Level 500
  • 4.08e19 – Rally +200% (7200%) – Level 700

Bruenor (Champion)

  • 1363 – Rally +100% – Level 50
  • 1.04e12 – All Champions +200% – Level 400

Slot #2 – Celeste Breakdown

Celeste is extremely useful boosting all Champions, boosting those beside her with Crusader’s Mantle and also healing those in front of her to boot. Her Life specialization will double her healing long term but pretty much stops boosting damage which multiplies as time goes on, and since the healing is a more limited space that does overlap, I cannot think how healing double speed would ever outdo thousands of percent damage boost. Honestly hers needs the most fixing at this time, but she is also one of the top 2 support Champions.

Celeste (War Specialization)

  • 730 – All Champions +100% – Level 10

  • 6.09e15 – Heal +300% (5.53e7/s) – Level 320

Slot #3 – Nayeli Breakdown

Nayeli loses her Aura of Courage basically entirely if you choose her Oath of Devotion but only loses one boost to all champions by level 225 thus far. As a tank that 100% boost would mean half as long needed to tank so against a boss it would be better to do Oath of Vengeance still but if stacking enemies to switch to Makos for a massive one hit kill for a gold boost or something along those lines Oath of Devotion may work. But the loss of Aura of Courage would likely still make it ridiculous to choose.

Nayeli (Oath of Vengeance)

  • 1.78e4 – All Champions +100% – Level 10
  • 7.14e4 – Aura of Courage +100% – Level 20
  • 1.46e6 – Aura of Protection +50% – Level 40
  • 1.11e7 – All Champions +200% (500%) – Level 55
  • 6.79e9 – Specialization – Aura of Courage +200% (300%) – Level 100
  • 3.66e12 – All Champions +100% (1100%) – Level 145

  • 6.31e16 – Aura of Courage +100% (1800%)- Level 215
  • 1.98e17 – All Champions +100% (4500%) – Level 225

Nayeli (Oath of Devotion)

  • 1.78e4 – All Champions +100% – Level 10
  • 7.14e4 – Aura of Courage +100% – Level 20

  • 4.74e14 – Health +2.00e8 (+2.11e8) – Level 180
  • 1.49e15 – All Champions +100% (2300%) – Level 190

Slot #4 – Jarlaxle Breakdown

Jarlaxle has one useful boost for the group and that is his Gold boost. I am honestly unsure if it stacks multiplicatively but am assuming so, either way he is ok until you hit your wall or for farming but not at all for pushing. Have a backup formation with him to make use of him when going offline for a long time.

Jarlaxle

  • 1.22e10 – Gold +10% – Level 125
  • 8.92e11 – Gold +10% (21%) – Level 175
  • 4.91e15 – Gold +10% (33.1%)- Level 275
  • 3.1961e18 – Level 350

Slot #5 – Calliope Breakdown

Calliope is another great booster with all champion boosts and the Bardic inspiration boosting those in the line ahead of her. College of Lore boosts the shield slightly more than Valor but loses Bardic Inspiration so unless you cannot have her behind your main DPS for some reason it may not prove overly useful.

Calliope (College of Valor)

  • 1.76e7 – All champions +100% – Level 12
  • 4.42e7 – Bardic Inspiration +100% – Level 24
  • 1.11e8 – Shield 500 – Level 36

  • 1.25e18 – Shield +200% (3.11e10) – Level 335

Slot #6 – Asharra Breakdown

Asharra is another champion with one use and that is an anywhere boost to whoever your main DPS is. Easy to keep around but will likely also be easy to remove at some point if slot 6 gets another better hero or even just another better support elsewhere.

Asharra

  • 1.00e9 – Bond +100% – Level 10
  • 2.72e18 – Bond +200% (300%) – Level 140

Slot #7 – Minsc Breakdown

Minsc is currently most everyones favorite DPS it seems and also a decent buffer in his own right. Favored enemy helps with bosses the most as they tend to be what stops a push and my other guide can help you pick which favored enemy to go with (Humanoid is never a bad choice thus far)

Minsc

  • 1.71e12 – All Champions +100% – Level 40
  • 3.64e12 – Favored Enemy +100% – Level 50
  • 7.61e18 – Favored Enemy +100% (200%) – Level 175

Slot #8 – Delina Breakdown

Delina thus far has no support abilities I have found and so is officially the worst support. She can make a decent DPS however but that isn’t what this guide is about.

Delina

  • 8.48167194e18 (Level 500)

Slot #8 – Hitch Breakdown

Hitch is a much better support than Delina in that he actually has support abilities though mostly it effects only those with Charisma of 14 or higher. More Daggers will really limit this ability which unfortunately also effects himself so having an extra target is not likely as useful as dealing 6x the damage so I would avoid the daggers and be friendly.

Hitch (Charismatic)

  • 1.29e13 – All Champions +100% – Level 35
  • 2.85e14 – Friendly +100% – Level 80
  • 4.18e15 – Specialization – Friendly +100% (+200%) – Level 120
  • 5.07e17 – Friendly +200% (+600%) – Level 190

Hitch (More Daggers)

  • 1.29e13 – All Champions +100% – Level 35
  • 2.85e14 – Friendly +100% – Level 80
  • 4.18e15 – Level 120

Slot #9 – Makos Breakdown

Makos can boost those far away from himself or gain extra gold from killing things, unfortunately he is not well suited as a DPS so won’t be killing much usually. However if you give him Dark Luck and tank a large crowd only to use his special move to finish them all at once it could be a useful strategy for a push. Otherwise you will get a slight boost to those far away from him that is less than other heroes thus far. Perhaps at higher levels things will change but I am not there yet.

Makos (Dark Blessing)

  • 4.03e15 – Specialization – Dark Blessing +100% – Level 15
  • 1.0588e18 – Level 30

Makos (Dark Luck)

  • 4.03e15 – Specialization – Dark Luck +100% – Level 15
  • 1.0588e18 – Level 30

Slot #10 – Tyril Breakdown

Tyril can act as either a tank using boosted health and damage reduction to let enemies pile up as others knock them down or he can provide a minor boost to all crusaders while granting some regeneration as well. The game doesn’t tell us exactly what that regeneration or damage reduction will be bu both forms also gain bonus damage to all and could be used well depending on your playstyle.

Tyril (Moonbeam)

  • 3.15e16 – All Champions +100% – Level 20
  • 1.21e17 – Specialization Moonbeam +100% – Level 45
  • 5.69e17 – All Champions +100% (300%) – Level 75

Tyril (Wild Shape)

  • 3.15e16 – All Champions +100% – Level 20
  • 1.21e17 – Specialization Health +6.00e10 – Level 45
  • 5.69e17 – All Champions +100% (300%) – Level 75

Slot #11 – Jamilah Breakdown

Jamilah has no support abilities yet from what I have seen and is mainly a DPS so unless you use her as such leave her out obviously.

Jamilah

  • 9.80e20 – Level 35

Slot #12 – Arkhan Breakdown

Arkhan being the last champion and one you get so late I have yet to really use but he seems geared as a DPS so far. Once I know more I will be able to better judge.

Arkhan

  • 6.50e20 – Level 4
