The Guide

Get rid of Gale and get Astarion

Respec him with the following build: Gloomstalker 5/Assasin 3/ Fighter 2 with archery as fighting style/ Spore Druid 2.

• Give him 17 Dex to start with and at least 14 CON. Teach him Lesser restoration spell. Then have him bite you and use Lesser restoration to heal your bloodless condition.
• He will only have one feat so chose Sharpshooter.
• Fast travel to Lower city Central wall and go to the Mythic Carrion – the mummy lord that asks you to find Trumbo. Trade with him and buy the Armor of the Sporekeeper. Equip it on Astarion and have him activate his Symbiotic entity so he gets Haste spores from the armor . Haste spores is an AOE that will give your entire group Haste for a turn and only cost a bonus action. This is key for this build as it will make your entire team super overpowered.

From the same Mythic Carion buy the Hood of the weave. Equip it on Shadowheart

• Respec Shadowheart to Tempest Cleric 11/ storm sorcerer 5/ wizzard 1.
• Give her 17 wisdom/ 16 intelligence for starting stats, then Ability points feat twice to buff intelligence to 20.
• Teach her Quickened spell from the Sorcerer build.
• Make sure she also has “create water” spell.
• Go to Sorcerors Sundae’s and buy scroll of Chain lightning and teach her that spell, then equip it on her.
• Give her any + initiative gear you can find. There is a bow in Rivington that gives + 3 initiative, and if you have the gloves of dexterity, give them to her
• Go back to the house of Grief and start the fight.

Have Astarion cast the Haste spores he gets from the Armor of the Sporekeeper as they will Haste your entire team.

Have Shadowheart use “quickened spell” to cast Create water on the enemies and Viconia, then double cast Chain lightning on the wet enemies with the Tempest fury thing for max damage .

Then have the rest of your group who is fully hasted to finish off the remaining enemies.
