I love games and I live games. Video games are my passion, my hobby and my job. My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices. My first official job in the game industry started back in 2005, and I'm still doing what I love to do.

  1. Step 6 is actually not needed, it’s for 32 bit applications (and cs2 is 64bit only). Also, it breaks 32 bit MPC and filters like EVR and madVR, so not changing it is actually the proper way of doing things until valve fixes shader compliation stutters

  2. there is NEVER a reason to change registry shit…. this makes no sense on why it would fix anything.

  3. Great guide, other “fixes” just reduce the stuttering. This removed it fully. I have a RX 6700 XT.

  4. Bro, thank you so much, you have no idea how long I have been suffering with this problem, to be precise, for more than a year and a half, thanks to you, I was finally able to play my favorite games normally. I will try to tell everyone about fixing this problem.

  5. If you receive an error message from Wallpaper engine or EA, select – “DX9 NAVI
to regular DX11” (applications on Directx 9), for this you need to change the following register:

    64-Bit DLL / D3DVendorName Preset
    amdxn64.dll
    amdxn64.dll
    atidxx64.dll
    atidxx64.dll

    32-Bit DLL / D3DVendorNameWow Preset
    amdxn32.dll
    amdxn32.dll
    atidxx32.dll
    atidxx32.dll

Errors will disappear, and games on DirectX 11 will still not freeze.

  6. Hi, do you need to change the driver to vega? Or is it necessary for RDNA 1 ? I chose vega, the friezes really disappeared, but the FPS decreased.

    • You don’t need to do anything besides the steps by step that author Iaid out for you if this is the cause of the stutters for you, if this isn’t your problem then it’s not going to fix your stutters! Pursley for me I have not seen any FPS decrease but I’m not saying that it won’t decrease your FPS I just know that it stops the stutters!
