Quick Setup Guide for Car Parking Multiplayer 2
This setup guide helps diagnose handling issues and fine-tune vehicle balance in Car Parking Multiplayer 2 (CPM2). Although the tuning chart originates from Assetto Corsa, almost all of its information applies to CPM2.
Tuning Options Not Available in CPM2
Aerodynamics
Aerodynamic tuning is limited in CPM2. Some cars have downforce, but it cannot be adjusted. Wing and rake settings are therefore unavailable.
Fast Bump
CPM2 previously included fast bump settings, but they have since been removed. Only slow bump adjustment is available. Any bump settings referenced in the chart should be interpreted as slow bump settings.
Translating Assetto Corsa Settings to CPM2
Some tuning terms differ between the two games, but the corresponding settings exist in CPM2. Use the following equivalents when applying the chart.
Differential and LSD Settings
- Differential Power: Corresponds to Acceleration Bias in CPM2.
- Differential Coast: Corresponds to Brake Bias in CPM2. This relationship also technically applies to the lock percentage.
Brake Bias
In CPM2, brake bias is determined by the ratio between the sizes of the front and rear brake discs, pistons, and piston sizes.
- Equal front and rear components: If both are the same, the brake bias is 50% front and 50% rear.
- Front components 25% larger: If the front components are 25% larger than the rear components, the brake bias is approximately 75% front and 25% rear.
Suspension Spring Settings
- Wheel Rate: Corresponds to Spring Stiffness in CPM2.
Using the Setup Chart
Use the chart to diagnose handling issues and fine-tune vehicle balance. Apply the relevant recommendations while accounting for the differences between Assetto Corsa and CPM2, particularly the unavailable aerodynamic adjustments and the removal of fast bump settings.
