Minotaur Frost Shatter Build
The Minotaur Frost Shatter build focuses on taking advantage of the Ice Mage cornerstone passives. FrostQuake turns Chill into a powerful damage-over-time effect that scales with Blunt damage, while FrostShock increases Stun Build-Up by up to 50%. As a result, the build is primarily focused on Physical damage and quickly stunning enemies.
The build averages around 1,000 to 1,200 DPS and can kill bosses relatively quickly. However, some parts of the playstyle are risky due to several factors, with the main spells being a primary reason.

Core Spells
Seismic Stampede
Seismic Stampede is the build’s biggest damage spell after taking the upgrade that removes its channeling requirement. This makes the spell very safe and fast to use.
It also works well when chained with other spells, allowing you to follow Seismic Stampede with another major spell.
Boulder Toss
Boulder Toss is an absolute necessity for the build. It has a slight cast time that can often get you killed, but its sheer amount of Stun Build-Up and ability to interrupt just about any attack make it well worth using.
For example, against Smashmouth, Boulder Toss can reliably interrupt his bomb throw.
Its three augments are all situationally useful:
- First augment: Reduces the cooldown to 4 seconds but reduces the range to melee range. This transforms Boulder Toss into one of the build’s biggest damage sources.
- Second augment: Leaves an oil pit behind. This helps create burning pools and keeps enemies on fire for additional Crit Rate.
- Third augment: Improves the area of effect. It is not particularly significant, but it makes the spell more comfortable for mobbing than the other two augments may be.
Blizzard
Blizzard is the third most important spell because the build needs to stack large amounts of Chill on an enemy for its two main cornerstone passives to trigger.
It is a one-point wonder that requires no real investment, while the stats gained when pathing toward it are also very useful.
Concentration on Hit is invaluable for the build.
Gear and Equipment
Dualpath
Dualpath is by far the most important gear set for the build.
Its 6-piece effect provides effectively 35% extra Physical and Magic damage, which is a huge increase. Blizzard and Seismic Stampede work well together to maintain this effect at effectively 100% uptime.
Shattering
Shattering is the preferred secondary set because it provides increased Blunt damage and Stun Build-Up, along with an additional effect that activates when stunning an enemy with the 4-piece bonus. Shattering makes mobbing more comfortable.
However, it does not really help in boss fights. The damage from the 4-piece effect is minimal, so if the area-of-effect damage from stunning enemies is not important, using only the 2-piece bonus is preferable.
If using 4 pieces of Shattering, the last 2-piece set should be either Erupting or Shakers.
If using only 2 pieces of Shattering, the 4-piece set to use instead is Ironfist.
Bracers
Stun Build-Up should be prioritized as the main stat on Bracers. It helps immensely and complements the build’s focus on quickly stunning enemies.
Pet Options
The pet choice can be adjusted according to personal preference.
WarCat can be used for Rage.
SilverCat is an alternative that helps prevent one-shots while also lowering the build’s Strength to boost Physique a little.
Skill Tree
There are several choices in the Skill Tree that can be adjusted according to personal priorities.
At least five points invested in Stun Build-Up nodes can easily be diverted elsewhere. The choice depends on which aspects of the build are prioritized.
