Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Tips for Augments

Augments Functionality and Testing

I’ve been testing several Augments and wanted to share some findings.

Lethality: Straight up either doesn’t work or very low value. Wiki says 5%, from my testing it is even less than that, or just not working.

Diligence: If you splat from a fall or a grab, it takes the same amount of time to get up (4ish seconds) with or without this augment. So it either doesn’t work, or doesn’t apply to that condition.

Exaltation: Using up all my stamina and timing how long it takes to get to full was the same (14ish seconds) with and without this augment. It either doesn’t work or is really low value. Wiki says 10%, I was getting pretty much the same ~14sec every time.

Beautitude: If you slot this augment you will recieve more healing, you will not heal other for more. Increasing your Magic will heal other for more though.

Asperity: Bonking lizards on the head with a hammer made them concussed every 7th hit with this augment, and every 8th hit without. So a small increase. I assume if you get a lightning enchantment, it will contribute to the stun as well, but didn’t test it.

Impact: With this augment, after I staggered an Ogre, I was able to push him down every time. Removing this augment made this impossible. He would always recover.

Defence augments seem to add a good chunk of damage reduction. A Minotaur was hitting me for 190 without Mettle, and for 150 with Mettle. That’s around 30% damage reduction. Which is substantial for that particular scenario and that particular enemy. I imagine it may differ depending on several factors, but I frankly don’t care about defences in this game.

I tested sever other Augments as well, but the ones above are those I`m most interested in.
