My guide isn’t in-depth by any means, however it does cover some great and useful tips, I’m still playing DDS so there will surely be more tips to cover, I hope this quick guide can help you in some way.

Eddies Quest

Are you also a little rattled how quick DDS progresses? Do you wish you could deal with Eddie for longer? I going to show you how to solve the progression speed and Eddies escape.

As I was playing I had the idea of not unlocking the zones too quick, to try and minimise the progression speed, this did work to an extent. As I progressed I reached the Sector C beginning, I completed the few Sector Introduction Quest, upon returning to my apartment Eddies Escape sequence starts, I’m ill-prepared and not ready for this. I restart my game.

The Exploit

Eddie like a lot of the other game assets are controlled by certain timers or triggers, one of these greatly created quest triggers is the Construction Site quest, which happens to be one of the biggest game altering quest. DDS Forums explain that Eddies Escape starts when you reach level 36 which is true to an extent.

Construction Site Quest

Eddie actually has a checklist of triggers/timers that start his escape, one being the players level being 36, another and by far the most overlooked one is the Construction Site Quest.

So if you’d like to keep Eddie so you can stockpile money or product, then never unlock the construction zone, simple as that.

Hope this helps you stockpile more money and product before the Production Lab stage, as you now control when this begins.

Trash Container Tool / Exploit

Something I discovered rather early in my play-through like most probably did, was that the big Trash Containers when searched can give you jewellery but only sometimes, I got rather bored of sitting there waiting for the bin to finish searching, and on the precipice of giving up I discovered a slight exploit, so first id like to cover three important times 12pm, 3pm, and 5pm, these times are the daytime bin respawing times (New content added aswell as all hidden again). Each respawn will do this.

The Exploit

You will need to get your hands on one of each of the jewellery items (Necklace, Brooch, Watch, Mobile Phone), you can also bring a Spray Can with 1/3 left inside, if you’d like to stack some Spray Cans. This must be started after 12.00pm.

• Step 1 – Go to a Trash Container and begin the search.
• Step 2 – Hold Ctrl and deposit all the items you want to find in the bin.
• Step 3 – Scroll down and see what isn’t hidden, these items don’t have a copy in the bin, any of the items missing are automatically paired with there duplicate.

Known Bug

If this isn’t done from the right time all items will be hidden even if they don’t have a duplicate in the bin. The only way I’ve been able to fix this is to search all the bins on my route the hard way, when the next respawn tick comes around it should be fixed, if not start on a new day.

Obviously I don’t follow these lines exactly to the T, but it is the order I open the bins, once done I repeat til Police Hours start their 60 minute warning.
