Big Axe Build
A high-damage build focused on Crush Attacks and quickly downing enemies. It is designed for Very Hard difficulty and is capable of clearing all content, particularly large enemy groups in dungeons.
Recommended Stats
For optimal weapon scaling:
- 100 Strength
- 100 Intelligence
Suggested defensive stat distribution:
- Vitality: 60
- Endurance: 30
- Mind: 30
Invest any remaining points into Dexterity and Agility for small additional bonuses.
Equipment
Weapon
Use the Big Axe.
Armor
- Chest and Gloves should increase your Strength and Intelligence from 90 to 100 while providing additional bonuses.
- Equip legs that increase the bonus damage of Crush Attacks. The effect stacks up to 10 times, allowing damage to ramp up quickly.
Augite
- White Augite
- Greatly increases the chance to down enemies.
- Provides a significant damage boost against downed targets.
Recommended Skills
Serpent Strike
One of the strongest single-target damage skills in the build, capable of dealing 5,000+ damage.
Whirlwind
Excellent for clearing groups of enemies thanks to its wide area-of-effect damage.
Rockfang
Highly effective against enemies that have already been downed, frequently dealing 5,000+ damage.

Approximate damage values:
- Basic attacks: ~1,800 damage
- Heavy attacks: ~2,000 damage
- Crush Attack (Hold R2): ~2,500 ×2
- Serpent Strike: 5,000+ damage
- Whirlwind: 5,000+ damage
- Rockfang: 5,000+ damage
Once an enemy is downed, these damage values increase dramatically, often reaching nearly double their normal output.
Playstyle
- Use Hold R2 (Crush Attack) as your primary attack.
- Quickly build Crush Attack bonus stacks from your leg equipment.
- Use White Augite to down enemies more consistently.
- Follow up with Serpent Strike or Rockfang to maximize damage against downed targets.
- When surrounded, use Whirlwind to eliminate large groups efficiently.
Best Use Cases
This build performs especially well in dungeons, where you can gather multiple enemies and eliminate them quickly with powerful area-of-effect attacks while benefiting from frequent enemy downs.
