Firstly
You need to equipped a high level Prospectors accessory and/or the rare drop chance increasing accessory on the charachter breaking the veins.
Also
The other possible location is the room at the end of the top floor, two floors above the fishing spot where there is a maze of of wooden platforms and at once you successfully navigate the maze two gold veins and a large chest.
Note: its a unique vein spawn next to the two gold veins in the in the top left of the room that above (same room as the mob that drops a glass jar).
