How to Explore the Area
I found out you can use the binoculars to look around so you don’t have to drive all over the place. Makes it quick and easy to do that type of task.
You can also use the drone. It’s what one of the first tutorials tries to teach the player by making them use Binoculars, explore area, use Drone, explore area, all while staying in the same area. Unfortunately it seems to have not been clear enough and I’ve seen people drive to those areas to do exploration.
Also there’s a radar. It functions just like the exploration unit from the Snowrunner game.
When I have an area to explore (the dotted yellow circle) I keep a careful eye on the percent explored number in the upper right while flying the drone. If I see it start to increase I stay on that heading till the number doesn’t go up anymore or I run out of drone range.
