How Contracts is Working

Open map, select mission in the menu on the left, then click start tracking. It will show the objectives. If you click the objective on the list in the left menu it will center the map on it.
There’s a bug where all missions from all maps are shown on that list, so it’s a good idea to always make sure the objective is on your map and it’s not a passage between maps.
The map will still show you the starting location for your tasks. So if you have one that says take 3 different pictures, you’ll notice there are 4 icons on the map. Taking pictures doesn’t need any extra items.
For the contracts such as Core Problems, some of them require you to have a certain type of specialist active. If you don’t have that specialist type active then you can’t progress it / it doesn’t appear on the ground despite going there in person.
Like hydro for acoustic scan or operator for drone scan. Also the operator is required for the tourism and archeological missions.
