Expeditions: A MudRunner Game – How to Complete Heavy Load Expedition

Heavy Load Expedition Tips

Сrеdit gоеs to static!

It’s perfectly feasible with the Step. More wheels is better when pulling a heavy vehicle.

While you’re headed down to the bog where the truck is located, work out a route back up to the outpost. The fewer turns and off camber terrain features you have to drag it through, the better.

Back yourself down towards the stuck truck in order to activate the prompt (dotted square on the ground), then pull forward out of the mud so you’re on firm ground while you attach the winch. No need to connect the winch while you’re right next to the truck. Try to position yourself so when you start to pull the truck out, it doesn’t have to turn very sharply to start moving up towards tour truck.

Once you’re connected, set your brake, turn on the stuck truck’s engine and start pulling carefully with the winch to get the stuck truck moving and turning to be in line with you. The key here is to get it out of the mud and in line with your intended direction of travel. Short pulls can help nudge the truck around and out of the mud without tipping it over.

Once it’s lined up with you and rolling, shorten up the winch cable until the truck is within 5-6 meters (15 feet or so) of your truck.

Go ahead and start towing it up to the outpost. Staying in Low gear and keeping your differential locked can be a big help, especially if you’re new to this.

Again, be careful when pulling it over rock ledges and around turns. Remember that you’ll have to turn much wider with the towing truck to ensure you don’t put the truck you’re towing in a position where it could tip over.

This is an intro recovery mission meant to help practice an essential skill in the game, so it’s a pretty short tow and is very achievable. Good luck!
