Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Build and Tips for Characters

I am at end game and just opened proud difficulty. I finished every quest board quests with a least S.

One thing I found out is the sub condition doesn’t really matter if you can down the boss as fast as possible. You will still get S++ rank (highest rank) even with one checkbox ticked in quest board. I finished maniac bosses in Hard difficulty with tons of grinding. But new things keep on unlocking to make your character stronger. So as long as you keep up with all upgrades for your main team up to date its doable with some timing and learning.

It was a bit hard to be honest. Trying to play proud missions with ultimate difficulty now.

What I did was I did research before playing and picked out who are gonna be my 4 main character team first, then I keep on upgrading them without even touching others.

My main team is Percival, Captain (main protagonist), Harmaya (the samurai butterfly girl dunno I got her name right) and the ghost girl (frey or something). Dont really give a damn about getting their name right since I am playing it in japanese voice with eng sub to get more immersive gameplay. Most Jrpg voice line in every games are hit or miss all the time so always try to play in japanese voice if possible.

Percival – main character I mostly control. Like him and built him with charged atk burst dmg build since this game have tons of moving around during boss fight and it fit my playstyle since i played a lot of souls game too.

Captain – Hybrid build with mostly atk and def based with dispel as support.

Harmaya – my main breaker / crit build samurai with a couple of defense stats in mastery.

Ghost girl (frey)

  • My main healer / support lady. I just like her since she can also dissed out really good dmg even as a healer. I built her in skill based and only 2 sigil healing wise.
  • Her healing aoe is really wide and I like it. I even control her on some hard bosses to get the healing timing right and my dps just do their job.

In my opinion, I honestly dunno whether to invest in buffer or not since every character has their own buff for atk or def or special stats and I am always using them before battle and I managed to pull it off so far. Hence there is no pure support/healer on my set up.

2 dps, 1 hybrid tank/dmg and 1 hybrid support/dmg.

So far it is working for me. Percival really dissed out huge dmg in small amount of window i like it and dont need to keep hitting the boss all the time unlike every other character so far.

After getting all S++ on proud difficulty quest, I will buy all other character and tried them out.

So far I dun even have every character in my garrison. I hate doing fate missions, although I like the visual story part.
