So I found when I first tried playing the game and got an error about dx12 and try running without -dx12 or -d3d12. The common solutions from a google search were not helpful but i did find one on youtube that allowed me to open the game (havent tested if it will crash though).

How-To (Step-by-Step)
- Step 1: Go to High On Life in Steam.
- Step 2: Right click and select browse local game files.
- Step 3: Right click the High on life.exe and select Send to Desktop (Create shortcut).
- Step 4: Click on the target line and go to the end. (should be next to .exe of the target line.
- Step 5: Type in -dx11.
Example: High on life path line text.exe -dx11.
This allowed me to launch the game. I’ll try to post this to other discussions for this problem and post it on reddit.
