Incremental Epic Hero 2 – Gear and Optimizing Tips

Tips for Gear and Optimizing

If you like a particular item, such as the wizard hood, then using multiple of the same item, stacks the effects so you get a bigger overall bonus. don’t need to figure out how to maximize 2 or 3 different stats on the same loadout by doing this item and that item and the other item, just make it all the same item!

Something like the wizard hood and savage ring, works well for several classes. So based on what I wrote as first observation, then it stands to reason that I would get many of those for all the relevant classes that I wanted to use these items for.

The higher zones drop better unique items. Eg, a wing equipment from a slime might give 5% Light damage per level, but a devilfish wing equipment might give 9% light damage per level. These are just made up numbers but it can give an idea of what I’m trying to describe. if the stat of light damage is what you’re going for, then go for devilfish wing over slime wing.

+Skill Level items can also potentially be better than +Attack or +Magic Damage items. Just depends on how many of them you can stack together.

Since items get better bonuses for higher levels, then don’t do rebirth 3 on all characters at the same time (resetting equipment level). For example, the 2 characters that are not active, get them to max the item, and then let them be inactive with their maxed level. That will give you at least 20-30 levels on the item all the time. (max level 10 or max level 15). Out of the remaining 4 characters that are active, you can pick the balance you like for how much rebirth3 to do. Ideally, if only 1 character is doing rebirth 3, then you can have up to max level for 5 characters, giving you the most levels per item whenever you use that item.

Having said that, this game is incremental so whether you have 10 levels or 30 levels or even 50 levels, you may not see it impact you as much. Meaning, you don’t easily defeat some bosses or challenges due to having that extra 20 or 40 levels. Another way of putting that is, it’s OK if more than 1 character is resetting his gear items constantly.
