Guide to Win Every Run with Ouroboros and Totems

All credit goes to Mutes all tryhard!

Trapper Trader Can Give You Ouroboros aka a Free Win

TLDR trapper trader is the best option on the map because it can give you ouroboros. Just don’t buy more than 1 wolf pelt and 1 golden pelt and the 1 free rabbit pelt and you can still win fights without being overburderend by 50 pelts in your deck

Why is trapper trader good: if you buy a single golden pelt, you can trade it in for a rare card. One of the rare cards can be ouroboros. If you get ouroboros, you have a guaranteed win basically. And you can visit the trapper trader 3 times in a run, meaning you have 3 chances to get ouroboros. And 3 more chances because you get a rare card every time you defeat a mini-boss prospector / the angler / the trader

How to use: just take the one free rabbit pelt, and buy a single golden pelt. You can buy one wolf pelt if you want, but it is not necessary. The one wolf pelt trades in for a nice beast like wolf or tentacle with bell, but you won’t need that beast once you get ouroboros. If you buy more pelts than this, you will have too many pelts in your deck and the game will become difficult. When you just start the game, his pelts cost a lot, but the more you defeat him (3rd boss), the cheaper his pelts become.

Totem Carver Can Give You an OP Sigil on Every Bee aka a Free Win

TLDR do all the puzzles in act 1 to get bees, and insect totem head. Visit totem on the map whenever you can (2nd priority after trapper and trader). Go for sigils over totem heads. Your chances of getting an amazing totem body are not high, but if you get an amazing totem body, you basically get a free win.

Everything Else on the Map

Here is everything else you can visit on the map.

Pick a card is good. I almost always get a 1 blood cost card with at least 1 damage. And if that is not available, I get a cheap bone card like possum. And if that is not available, I go for a higher cost card with good damage like wolf, coyote (4 bones), or tentacle with bell. I mostly go for cheap card to carry me until I get ouroboros.

Bonelord sacrifice is good. My deck is mostly cheap 1 blood cost cards and cheap bone cards like possum and coyote, and of course ouroboros. I don’t like taking goat, or looking for the bonelord’s altar, but it is nice to be able to get the bone lord’s boon after sacrificing a goat, and then being able to play 4 possums for free.

Campfire is bad. 1St priority is trapper trader for the chance to get ouroboros. 2Nd priority is totems for the chance to get op totems. If you want campfires, it would be your 3rd priority. But getting ringworm / adder directly interferes with your ability to get damage early to get teeth to buy golden pelts. Getting cheap 1 bloost cost cards with at least 1 dmg, which is what I like, so I dislike getting ringworm or adder for the campfire. Since I am already chasing trapper, trader, and totems, it is hard to also visit more than one or two campfires per game. If there were more campfires, this would rise in priority, but there aren’t. I know a lot of people will complain, because they love campfire. But once you start getting ouroboros and op totems every game, you will forget all about your love of campfire

Sacrifice sigils is bad. It can’t really win you the game unless you have an op sigil to give to a free/cheap card. Like unkillable or fecundity to geck. But by the time you have the op sigil and the cheap card that does great with op sigils, you should have ouroboros if you followed this guide, so this is kinda pointless.

Pick a card by family is often bad. You have no control over what you get. So you can be given an expensive card you can’t afford, or a card with no damage. I always get insects, since insects are cheap, and at least I get buff the bad card I get with the totem carver lady.

Backpack is bad. Packrats seem nice, but they are as strong as a coyote, die quickly, and cost a lot. What I try to do is keep 2 items on me. I try to avoid having 3 items, because if you have 3 items you have to get a packrat. If you think packrats are good (like I used to think), get as many packrats as you can get in your deck (like I did once) and then you won’t like packrats anymore (like me).

Cave of trials is bad. I try to fail the cave of trials on purpose, because I hate not being able to see or control what I get. If I get card I don’t want, like a bloodhound with a bird defense sigil, I just hate the cave of trials and try to fail it on purpose.

Pick a death card is bad. You should make death cards cheap and weak because you have to fight vs them in the final boss. So why would you try to get one of the death cards you made, if you purposefully made them to be trash.

Mycologists is bad. Very similar to sacrifice sigils. By the time you get cards to combine, you should have ouroboros, so there is no point in combining a card.

Pick a card by cost is bad. You have no control over what you get. I try to get cheap cards, and I always get the no damage cheap cards like ringworm and beehive.

Conclusion

So if you are a new player who is struggling.

1st prioritize trapper trader, get one golden pelt, and try to get ouroboros whenever you can.

2nd prioritize totems as a good sigil on your bees can win the game by itself. If you don’t have bees, you can google act 1 inscryption puzzle solutions. Do the puzzles, get the bonuses, make every future run way easier.

Have fun easily winning every fight.
