Well, How to…

1. You gotta be friends in the Steam.
2. You gotta be friends in the GOG.
3. Host of session loads his game, loads his ANY save he wants to continue or if they want to start from scratch, then he goes to Main menu and press Multiplayer, Host public, window with session parameters appears, which can’t be changed now (like difficulty), he can copy joining code and send to his friends, after that press Escape, Escape, back to the game.

At the moment of people joining, host will see a window, where he select what mercs his friend will be controlling.

Then players does their turns and press end turn, like usual.

Host, has 2 “folders” or dropdown lists named Hot Diamonds, which has different save times. One is MP saves – usually last played according by same time. Other is his SP saves.

Joined player also probably has second folder with saves.

It is wise to rename main MP save folder Hot diamonds to something different from your SP progression.
