Killing Floor 2 – Guide to Beat HoE in Singleplayer

For solo, some considerations that worked for me (it depends on your playstyle, the loadout and skills you’re used to).

Advice

Any perk is viable, but some are easier to beat solo, like berserk, combat medic, demo and even the survivalist. Sharpshooter shines in flat maps, but struggles in maps like The Descent, Catacombs and Netherhold, because it’s hard to keep up with headshots in those maps (you’ll probably be killed by stalkers and crawlers).

Know where the best camp spots are in which map and how and when to kite, this will help you survive. Don’t do hold your position missions, they’re usually in spots where you’ll get surrounded and probably killed.

Any weapon can work, but I recommend going for meta loadouts, give you some examples with no DLCs weapons:

  • Berserk: Hemoclobber, Bone crusher, Battleaxe, Eviscerator and HRG Teslauncher (for bosses like Matriarch and Abomination)
  • Commando: M16 M203, Scar, FN FAL, HMTech-401 and 501
  • Support: Boomstick, M4, AA12, Doomstick
  • Medic: HMTech-301, 401, 501 and HRG Incision
  • Demo: Kaboomstick and RPG (the best loadout), Seal Squeal can work too
  • Firebug: Dragonsbreath, HRG Dragonsblaze, Microwave and Helios Rifle
  • Gunslinger: Desert Eagles, Magnums .500, AF2011, Winterbite and Disrupter
  • Sharp: M14, crossbow, FN FAL, Centerfire and Rail Gun (for bosses)
  • Swat: HRG Nailgun, Kriss and HRG Bastion
  • Suvivalist: Kaboomstick, HRG Locust, Hemoclobber, Rail Gun and RPG (advice: don’t use gunslinger, commando firebug or swat weapons with this perk, it’s not worth it)

Some More Tips

  • Be careful with husks and EDARS when you’re a zerk (they’ll be your worst enemy.
  • Throw your EMP granade to prevent their attacks and kill them savely).
  • Combat medic with the incision can kill any boss without taking a sweat (if you die, you should train a bit more in suicidal).
  • When a fleshpound comes for your guts take off your knife jump and parry it at the same time (it’ll launch you away and less likely it’ll hit you twice).
  • Be careful with zeds spawns behind doors and walls when kitting.
  • And remember, a group of stalkers and crawlers can kill you as faster as a fleshpound.
