Steps
- Recruit all possible party members (maybe except buckets).
- Watch every possible campfire scene.
- Go to the very beggining of the game and and sleep by the fire.

Well, he keeps pulling off my crew members one by one, and when he has like 60-65k health left, he grabs Brad and the fight ends. I don’t know what to do. Trying to beat him in Pain Mode is so damn difficult.
You can run away from battle at any time to heal or swap party members. When you get back to Marty, his hp won’t recover and you can continue the fight.
Beating this boss doesn’t change the ending.

It’s not impossible, it’s just a tedious and long fight. I recommend to stock up on alcohol because of the increased chance of crit, which is very useful.
You don’t need to recruit all party members (Tho recommend you have a good amount for the fight) Nor do you need to see every campfire interaction. You just need to have all boat parts and then head back to first campfire.
Yeah, you’re right. As for campfire conversations, I think this has a slight effect on the nightmare ( Increased amount of joy-farmers) and it’s completely optional.
