Why Do the Scarecroa Get Destroyed All the Time?

When you kill a croa, it leaves a corpse. If you don’t destroy the corpse, or process it in the Midden Jelly (which requires recipes that take a lot of research to unlock), the corpse will spawn a croa ghost (Spectral Croa) every night.
These are very destructive, and will wander around attacking furniture and equipment until they are killed or day comes. In particular, they love to attack Scarecroa.
So either don’t leave croa corpses, or find and kill the ghost croa immediately.
How do I get rid of those pesky croas?
Find the nests and destroy them. Then either order your Wolfkin to eat the croa (that way there is no corpse), or hunt the croa and then order the corpse destroyed (so it won’t spawn ghost croa).
