Pacific Drive – How to Skip Intro Credit Videos

Skip the logos and intro movies on startup. It’ll hang on a black screen for a little bit while it loads in the background, but it’s much faster than waiting for the intro movie to play!

How-To

As far as I can figure, the intro movies aren’t skippable, so I had a little looksee. And you can force them to be skipped, turns out!

  • Navigate to your Pacific Drive installation location. This’ll be in your Steam\steamapps\common\ area, but you can also get there by going to your steam library, right clicking on Pacific Drive, and navigating to Manage > Browse Local Files.
  • Navigate the folder structure through PenDriverPro > Content > Movies. Your end location should be something like:
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pacific Drive\PenDriverPro\Content\Movies.
  • Delete everything within the folder.
  • You’re done, launch the game!

The game will hang briefly on a black screen instead of the intro movies, but given the intro movies are unskippable, if you’re on an SSD it’ll be comfortably faster than waiting for them. (27 intro movie versus about 2-3s of black screen!).

  1. FYI just tested this: rename the CompiledIntroSequence.mp4 in the Movies folder to “CompiledIntroSequence.mp4.disabled” (just give a file extension other than mp4). Same result and you get to keep the sequence in case you want it back later (rename it back to mp4).

  2. Nice, worked. I would just say make a copy of the movies folder in case you want to restore that.
