Setting Priorities
Something I keep seeing people complain about on here is that their pals with multiple skills are not doing the things they want them to do, ie helping craft, purely mining instead of transporting as soon as a single ore piece drop, etc.
I admit I do not know the full ins and outs of how intuitive this goes, but picking up the pals you want to perform your specific tasks and throwing them at the the task sets that task as their priority.
Want an Anubis to always craft whatever you make asap, throw him at the crafting table. I saw someone in a different post they always have to put Anubis in their party and throw the pal sphere at the table to get it to work, but u don’t need to do that, just pick up the Anubis you have assigned to your base and throw him at the crafting station u want him to work on.
I do not know if he will do other tasks if his station he is assigned to has no work however, my current base is not complex enough for me to test this.
This works really well with my mining base, as Anubis is a level 3 miner, assigned him to my base but instead of mining he was transporting, so I picked him up, threw him at a coal node and he started mining, with a pop-up saying he was assigned to the mining task.
Hope this helps a bit, again idk if he will transport after all the mining nodes are clear, my 3 transporters are able to keep with my 7 miners at my mining base so I haven’t tested that yet.
It doesn’t always work, if the pal is assigned a priority task, then goes to eat or rest it will free up the building and any other free pal may start using it and undoing the priority task you had assigned, you would have to give a specific task to every single pal but that would waste a lot of time in idle pals with multiple job types available.
