Park Beyond – Tips on to Maximizing Utilization of Theme Park Rides

Maximizing Utilization of Theme Park Rides

How-To

Don’t do too many. Your biggest enemy is the actual visitor cap from your park-level.

All your Rides share from your very limited visitor count (of which many also prefer to stuff their faces with humongous amounts of food and drink), so having too many rides means most wont be fully utilized.

Increase the quantity of the visitors, not lower them

The maximum number of visitors you can have in your park is capped by your park level.

It also means you want to try to build rides with the same appeal profile, at least until you’ve raised the cap somewhat (and even after that, it helps to group similar rides together) since those visitors will split between family/teens/adults according to the rides you’ve built.

It’s far better to have every ride appeal to all your visitors rather than only a third of your visitors being interested in a ride.

Same goes for food/drink etc; build the stuff that appeals to teens next to the rides that appeal to teens.

Ideal price tag

It depends on the ride, impossification et al. Best bet is to start at $5 and either increase it if you see max utilisation or decrease it if it’s less than max until you get to the point where you’re getting full utilisation.

You can use the ‘guest thoughts’ to check how many are complaining about the price being too high or too low, though don’t put too much weight on that – doesn’t matter if half of your visitors think the price is too high if you can maximise utilisation from the half that don’t.
