Beginners Tips

Сrеdit gоеs to Niras!

  • In Tartarus, attacking during a dash results in a lunge move that’s ideal for ambushing Shadows from outside their awareness range.
  • Shadows near a chest disappear when you open it.
  • The restaurants in the Iwatodai strip mall all have secret menu items that you can find out about by eating there several times.
  • Start the Hanged Social Link as soon as you get it. It unlocks the Sun Social Link, which is only available on Sundays, so you don’t want to start it too late and run out of time.
  • You can visit the nurses office the day after you’ve been in Tartarus for a free Courage boost.
  • Some of Elizabeth’s requests require you accept them before you can complete them. In fact, since there’s no limit to the number of requests you can accept it’s better to simply accept them all as they become available; there’s no penalty for doing so, and as a bonus when you do happen to complete one you get a ‘!’ icon on Elizabeth’s location as a reminder to go turn it in.
  • As a general rule, After School for social links, Evening for stats.
  • Matching the persona to the S-link is quite important. It costs no time to visit the Velvet Room before embarking on a link to get a matching persona. Note it only cares about the type – a low level Strength persona will give you just as much boost to the S-link as a high level one, but cost considerably less to summon.
  • Amount of notes when leveling social stats doesn’t necessary means 2 points towards social stat progression, which means eating in eateries in Iwatodai Mall and spending time in Arcade doesn’t yield the exact amount of points towards social stat level up.
  • Same goes for secret menu items which give same amount of notes (which implies same gains) as non secret items.
  • Spend time with your team members on evenings. This will give a usefull boost.
  • Theurgy gauges carry over between Tartarus runs and Full moons. The might carry over between Tartarus runs but I’ve never paid attention :S
  • So before Full moon comes it might be worth grinding a bit get Theurgy skills ready.
  • Later you’ll get quests on Police board. It can update multiple times between full moons so you don’t have to reach roadblock in Tartarus in one run later in the game
