Unlocking Infinity Time

In order to collect any Infinite customization pieces and or Party characters, we must unlock Infinity Time. In this game mode, Crazy Dave/Dr. Zomboss sends the player(s) to Infinity to fight the Gnomes and their leader, Gnomus the Gnome King. This game mode also reveals interesting facts about the Gnomes’ odd position in controlling time.

During your time playing, you pillage the gnomes’ Time Shards and then ransom them for Coins and Items at the end of each game. Starting a new match in this mode costs at least 5 stars to start on the first wave, with every five waves that player has cleared before being available as a starting point at a higher cost. In this repeatable form, it can also be played with up to 3 other players, though this requires all the players to be in one of their Backyards when starting the mode.

Unlike some of the main garden quests, It is multiplayer and can be played with a full lobby (four players max). There are two ways to unlock Infinity Time depending on which side (Plants or Zombies) you play with the most. Despite there being no difference besides the character/robot you control during Infinity time, some people prefer the switch in character.

This section will tell you how to unlock Infinity Time for both sides! If you or another friend already have Infinity Time unlocked, you may skip to the next section. As only one person needs to have it for others to play along with them.

Plants Infinity Time

To unlock Infinite Time for the Plant’s side, you must talk to Dave-Bot 3000 and start working towards completing all the L.E.A.F quests to earn all the badges. Dave-Bot 3000 can be found within the Plant’s base near towards the left side of the Garden Ops van. If the garage isn’t open yet, simply walk up to it and talk to it. It will open up a garage area where Dave-Bot 3000 will be in. From Dave-Bot 3000, you will be able to start collecting the badges and go through the L.E.A.F quests.

Once all badges have been obtained, you will be able to go down under the car in the garage and there will be a tunnel to the Infinite Time computer where you can access the menu to start!

Zombies Infinity Time

Similar to unlocking the Plant’s version of Infinity Time, you must head over to the Zombie’s side and talk to Dr. Patient. From there you can begin the Top Zombie quests. You must follow the same structure as the L.E.A.F quests and collect all the badges before unlocking the area to be able to go to Infinity Time. It’ll be located under the hatch to the right of Dr. Patient.

Customization Pieces & Party Characters

Now that you have or already got Infinity Time unlocked for either the Plants and or the Zombies, now we can start trying to collect Infinity customization pieces and Party characters! But for warning, this can be decently difficult for un-experienced or non frequent players.

After you fail objectives the player(s) die, the Time Shards that you’ve racked up collectively are what you use to open the chest at the end. Depending on the amount of Time Shards you get, the better the reward(s). Here are the certain goal amounts

  • Humdy Ho Chest: (500-2499 shards) Only gives a small amount of money.
  • Good Chesty Chest: (2500-7499 shards) Gives a fair amount of money, or can give an Infinity customization.
  • Great Tra-La-La Chest: (7500-14,999 shards) Gives money, or can also give an Infinity customization (Infinite or Scrumptious).
  • Amazing Twiddle Chest: (15,000-24,999 shards) Either gives a big number of coins, an Infinite or Scrumptious customization, and a very little chance of receiving a Party Character sticker.
  • Infinite Infinity Chest: (25,000+ shards) Either gives the greatest number of coins (30,000), a Scrumptious or Infinite customization, or a Party Character piece.
