Fastest and Most Efficient Way to Grind Gems

The current fastest way to grind gems is Matrix mode, with approximately 50k in 2 hours with the following setup.

Rundown of the most efficient setup (mandatory items are in bold):

Badass Mode
Assassin 3rd Skill
2 or 3 Flying Dagger Miss No Doubter
Fluorite Ring

Plants:

Lavender, Abele, Rosemary, Rainbow Grass, Fantastic Flower for Extra Weapon and/or Critical Hit.
Watermelon for Shorter Charge.
Binary Tree for Shotgun Buff.
Mirror Flower for Bounce Buff (these buffs are optional as you’ll get most of them during the run, but it is recommended to prep to make the run faster).

During the run, the longest part will be bossfights. It is better to have the Double Boss challenge condition to speed up the process. If you like, you can pick a high single target DPS weapon to speed up bossfights.

Note: With this strategy, you will get around 52k gems by 52-1. End the run at around 52-1, this is the best time spent to rewards ratio.
