Late Game Bosses Guide
This guide summarizes the major mechanics, dangerous abilities, status effects, and recommended gear for late-game bosses.
Imp Devil

Status Effects
- Curse
- Stun
- Burning
Enemies in Demon’s Maw can also inflict Curse.
Knockback is common throughout the encounter.
Dangerous Abilities
| Ability | Type |
|---|---|
| Meteor | Fire, Magic |
| Fireball | Fire, Magic |
| Banishment Field | Fire, Magic |
| Explosive Grenade | Fire, Magic |
Meteor is the boss’s most dangerous attack and should either be avoided or mitigated with high Fire Resistance.
Fireball and Banishment Field also cause knockback, making positioning especially important.
Recommended Gear
- Scorpion King Card
- Molten Core Heater
- Curse Tag (Curse Immunity)
- Dragon Nightfall Card (Curse Immunity)
- Burrow Card (Stun Immunity)
Most of Imp Devil’s damage is Fire Magic, making Fire Resistance, Magic Defense, and Magic Damage Reduction particularly valuable.
Death Mage

Status Effects
- Blind
- Silence
Enemies in Abyss Castle Library can also inflict Curse.
Dangerous Abilities
| Ability | Type |
|---|---|
| Shadow Release | Neutral, Ranged |
| Dark Exorcism | Shadow, Magic |
| Shadow Step | Neutral, Melee |
The primary threats are Shadow Release and Dark Exorcism. Dark Exorcism is heavily telegraphed and can usually be avoided by moving out of its area.
Recommended Gear
- Shadowsteel Guard
- Plant Chewer Card
- Night Greaves
- Gripper Robot Card
- Arrowcatch Wall
- Sunflora Pixie Card (Silence Immunity)
Death Mage deals a mix of physical and magical damage, making both Defense and Magic Defense valuable.
Poison-element armor is a viable option for this fight. Avoid using Werewolf Card (Shadow Element) unless you have reliable protection against Turn Undead.
Goblin Warchief

Status Effects
- Stun
- Bleeding
- Slow
- Stagger
Enemies in Goblin Warcamp may also inflict:
- Silence
- Bleeding
- Stun
Knockback is also common.
Dangerous Abilities
| Ability | Type |
|---|---|
| Tempest | Wind, Magic |
| Earthquake | Earth, Magic |
| Whirlwind | Neutral, Melee |
- Earthquake is the boss’s most dangerous attack.
- Tempest deals heavy Wind damage and causes knockback.
- Melee characters should watch for Whirlwind, especially after Shield Bash applies Stagger and prevents reliable blocking.
Recommended Gear
- Goblin King Card
- Warlord’s Emblem Shield
- Obsidian Bulwark
- Night Greaves
- Plasma Suit
- Burrow Card (Stun Immunity)
- Icicle Card (Slow Immunity)
- Fangroot Card (Bleeding Immunity)
- Sunflora Pixie Card (Silence Immunity)
- +10 Nullmark Jewel
- +10 Nullmark Relic
Goblin King Card reduces damage from both Tempest and Earthquake, although it increases vulnerability to Fire Pillar.
Warlord’s Emblem Shield is particularly valuable because it provides Knockback Immunity in addition to high Defense.
Equipment with All Resistance performs especially well during this encounter. Although Goblin Warchief cannot inflict Silence himself, Silence Immunity is still recommended because enemies throughout the area can.
Spider Queen

Status Effects
- Slow
- Poison
- Stagger
- Stun
Enemies in The Forge may also inflict:
- Burning
- Stun
- Knockback
Dangerous Abilities
| Ability | Type |
|---|---|
| Point Blank | Neutral, Ranged |
| Jump Shot | Neutral, Ranged |
| Shadow Release | Neutral, Ranged |
| Dissonance Well | Neutral, Magic |
Almost all incoming damage is Neutral.
Point Blank is one of the highest-damaging boss attacks in the game. Most non-tank builds should avoid it rather than trying to survive it with defensive gear.
Other major threats include:
- Shadow Release
- Dissonance Well
- Gunk Shot
Counter Stance is a strong defensive option for tanks because Spider Queen can occasionally chain multiple Point Blank attacks. However, this becomes unreliable if Jump Shot applies Stagger first.
Recommended Gear
- Plant Chewer Card
- Skystrider Legs
- Arrowcatch Wall
- Worm Creep Card
- Earthworm Card (Poison Immunity)
- Icicle Card (Slow Immunity)
- Burrow Card (Stun Immunity)
Neutral Resistance and physical mitigation provide the greatest benefit during this encounter.
Cosmic Entity

Status Effects
- Curse
- Silence
Enemies in Night Garden may also inflict:
- Stun
- Poison
- Knockback
Dangerous Abilities
| Ability | Type |
|---|---|
| Grand Cross | Holy, Magic |
| Dark Exorcism | Shadow, Magic |
| Shadow Release | Neutral, Ranged |
| Damnation | Holy, Magic |
The largest threats are Grand Cross and Dark Exorcism.
Damnation is particularly dangerous because it increases the damage you take afterward.
Shadow Release and the boss’s bolt attacks should not be underestimated, as they can still deal significant damage.
Recommended Gear
- Cyclops Giant Card
- Holy Crest
- Warlord’s Emblem Shield
- Curse Tag (Curse Immunity)
- Dragon Nightfall Card (Curse Immunity)
- Sunflora Pixie Card (Silence Immunity)
- Burrow Card (Stun Immunity)
Cosmic Entity deals primarily magical damage using both Holy and Shadow elements, making elemental resistance difficult to optimize.
Warlord’s Emblem Shield is also a strong option if knockback becomes a problem during the fight.
Mega Ice Golem

Status Effects
- Stun
- Freeze
- Slow
- Stagger
Enemies in Starfall Tundra may also inflict:
- Knockback
- Stun
- Stagger
Dangerous Abilities
| Ability | Type |
|---|---|
| Earthquake | Earth, Magic |
| Freezing Field | Water, Magic |
Earthquake and Freezing Field are the primary threats.
Outside of these abilities, the encounter is mostly about avoiding mechanics rather than surviving heavy burst damage, despite the boss’s large health pool.
Recommended Gear
- Ice Mage Card
- Cyclops Giant Card
- Obsidian Bulwark
Ice Mage Card provides Freeze Immunity while reducing Water damage.
Cyclops Giant Card remains useful because Mega Ice Golem deals damage from multiple elements.
Obsidian Bulwark is another strong defensive option if Earthquake is giving you trouble.
Turtle Champion

Status Effects
- Burning
- Freeze
- Slow
- Stun
Enemies in Turtle Nexus may also inflict:
- Freeze
- Stun
- Knockback
Dangerous Abilities
| Ability | Type |
|---|---|
| Overload Fire | Fire, Magic |
| Grand Cross | Holy, Magic |
| Earthquake | Earth, Magic |
Overload Fire is arguably the hardest-hitting boss ability in the game. It should either be avoided entirely or mitigated with very high Fire Resistance.
Grand Cross and Earthquake are also capable of dealing significant burst damage.
Recommended Gear
- Scorpion King Card
- Molten Core Heater
- Santa Hat
- Scorpion Card
- Veilward Artifact Set
- Burrow Card (Stun Immunity)
- Icicle Card (Slow Immunity)
If you plan to survive Overload Fire, prioritize Fire Resistance.
The stacking Burn effect is also dangerous, making Santa Hat a strong choice for players who do not have another reliable source of status recovery.
