Guide to Restock Your Ship’s Interior

Introduction
When you do any modification to your ship’s layout all decorative or “misc” objects inside it go into the ship’s cargo, this makes the ship look empty and UNIMMERSIVE, and placing objects yourself is a pain in the ass like in any other Bethesda game,
But fear not for there’s a solution!:
Steps
- After doing any modifications go inside your ship (it’s gonna be empty).
- Go to your cargo hold and take any item from it (not sure if this is necessary but can’t hurt doing it anyways).
- Save the game and exit to desktop.
- Open the game again and load your save.
- Exit your ship.
- Re-enter your ship.
- It should now have new misc items placed for decoration.
- Profit (no, really, it generates new misc objects every time so it could be used for an infinite money glitch).
Just tried the aim/pickup trick and IT WORKED!
It seems the interior of my ship is stacked with whatever knick-knacks my crew chooses.
I just want to place a captain hat somewhere, but I never can place it because the manipulation command is overridden by the equip command on wearable items.
Apparently if you aim down sights on a gun while not looking at the item, then look at the item while still aiming down sights you can hold E to pick up and move it because the pickup/equip prompt won’t be showing.
1.5 wasn’t necessary for me. Thank you so much! Now we just have to pray Bethesda doesn’t patch this out without giving/leaving us some alternative rather than never mod our ships again…
