Sucker for Love: Date to Die For – G.O.A.T. Achievement Guide

Everything You Need to Know

Chapter 4. Once you get into the house you can take note of all the threats. Normally I’d suggest getting a piece of paper and just writing down everything but there is an easier way of doing it. Most threats are straightforward, such as if you hear buzzing and just vacate the premises.

Some are more common than others, and generally, this strategy has worked for me. Running between 2(sometimes 4) points on the map depending on whatever the threat is. Bottom floor heart, 2nd-floor balcony, 2nd-floor MC’s room, and 2nd-floor MC’s brother’s room.

The first is primarily dealing with the firstborne, the balcony is for zombies and gas, the MC’s room is for if I’m on the 2nd floor and need the candles, and finally the MC’s brother’s room for if the predator comes looking. Generally, my strategy of running between the balcony and the heart seemed to work for most threats and I’ve rarely needed to use the latter two rooms.

Voice Lines:

  • Predator Event Start;((Predatory growling))
  • Predator Event End;((Heavy steps retreating))
  • Find a room with no windows and no more than 1 door. Face the entrance until you hear it retreating. Rooms: MC’s brother’s room on the 2nd-floor and the heart room will work.
  • Zombie Event Start;((Undead groaning))
  • Zombie Event Start;((Corpses collapsing))
  • 2nd-floor balcony.
  • Darkness Event Start;((Crickets chirping))
  • Darkness Event End;((Birds singing))
  • Find candles. MC’s room on the second floor and the heart room works.
  • Murder(Crows) Event Start;((…))
  • Murder(Crows) Event End;((Wings flapping distantly))
  • Room with no windows. Heart room, MC’s brother’s room, etc.
  • Flies Event Start;((Faint buzzing))
  • Flies Event End;((Buzzing ceases))
  • If following the general strategy of running from the balcony to the heart and back then you should go to the one that’s furthest away(if at heart then run to the balcony).
  • Gas Event Start;((Gas hissing))
  • Gas Event End;(Hissing stops))
  • The moment you reach the second floor, the window there should clear up the gas, but just to be safe? Balcony.
  • Firstborne Event Start;((Firstbornes hunting))
  • Firstborne Event End;((Firstbornes screaming))
  • Generally, I noticed this event starts at 2 minutes and lasts til the end. Go to the heart room and sit it out.

End of Voice Lines.

Other threats listed in the book:

Silence/Deafness, haven’t encountered it myself despite several times trying to encounter it. The book states that every 15 seconds you have to make a loud noise. For 1 minute. I’d imagine opening and closing a door would count.

Knocking, same with the Deafness, wasn’t able to encounter it. The book states to follow the knocking and on the 7th knock pray that you’re at the door to the source and to open the door swiftly just as the 7th knock sounds. If you get to the 6th knock and haven’t found the source, freeze and pray. (I imagine the knocking works the same way as the bells in the final dream although I have no clue.)

Creaking, also wasn’t able to encounter it. Get to the first floor. Avoid moving doors and the staircase. Otherwise, the book states to use the window. Windows on the second floor: MC’s room, stairway window, and balcony(?).

Large Man(?) just leave the room.

Notes:

I found the quote voice lines en quote for some of the enemies under the file called “Sucker_For_Love_2_Localization2”. The Immortality book’s description starts on row 2630 and the actual voice lines start on row 2711.

The voice line for the buzzing enemy is “Buckstart”/”Buckend” we can all guess who that is for.

I have noticed that the darkness event doesn’t proc the voice lines it says it should in the files and that might be a bug. However, just look out for the black “roots” at the edges of the screen creeping up. Find the candles.

Personally I found this similar to the first game’s last encounter with Nyan but much MUCH easier. As it was more about moving around the map you’ve been on for 3 chapters rather than flicking through pages and trying to multitask rituals.

G.O.A.T. stands for Greatest of all time.
