Send robots first, you can either have them terraform if you want to bring nuggets later, or just have them work in buildings, fully robotic outpost. With the unobtainium you find on the moon you can build at least 30 robots and one robot equals 3 nuggets in terms of work slots, so you can literally have a full city just with them, that doesn’t even need water or food.

Ice, Fire and Toxic Planets

Yes for ice, fire and toxic planets you need to always send all robots otherwise your nuggets die asap. For ice you just need to terraform the planet till it gets warm enough to support life.

Lava Planets

For lava is harder. You have to essentially terraform the entire planet as well and remove the lava from lakes before you can place actual water. You can do this with constant sources of water being used on the lava lakes via hydrogen collider or rain clouds.

It takes ALOT of water to remove the lava then fill it with actual water. Cloud generators will work also but take much longer as the rain clouds are random. Do not try to fill the lake or remove the lava until you terraform to lower the temps first or it will just evaporate.
