Enshrouded – Custom Resolution / Ratio in Windowed Mode

Simple way to change monitor resolution for a custom one.

If you are like me with a 32:9 monitor (or 21:9), you will discover that in-game resolutions are locked to your monitor ratio. You simply cannot change that ratio even in windowed mode.

Go into your library of games and [right-click] on “Enshrouded”, click on the sub-menu “Manage” and “Browse local files”.

This will send you to the game main folder.

There should be a file called “enshrouded_local”, which is a json file containing your graphics settings. You can open it with “Notepad++” for the best results. The basic notepad should work.

If it does not exist, you should try to tweak random things in-game and exit. It should generate it next time you exit the game.

If you change the mention “Fullscreen” to “Windowed” and you set yourself a custom resolution just below, where the “x” and “y” variables are set, you can have your desired ratio ! Mind you, it will be windowed.

I do not know how to get a custom ratio in Fullscreen. Hoping this will be fixed by the devs very soon.
