Basic Strategy

Throw the ball at roughly half strength between one of the two pairs of bottles at the base, aiming between the tapered and flat area of the bottle.

Two or three bottles should remain. Throw the ball at the same strength at the same position at the remaining jugs.

Tips and Tricks

Unfortunately, this exact situation won’t happen most of the time, so here’s some general tips on knocking down milk jugs.

  • If you’re struggling with having the ball “phase through” the gap between the necks of the milk jugs, that means you’re aiming too high. It’s better to aim lower rather than higher as it lowers the chance of milk jugs falling backwards and getting stuck in the rear hole.
  • When knocking down milk jugs, you ideally want to have them first fall over sideways (to not get stuck on the slot) and then roll backwards into the hole. So, when only one milk jug is left, you want to hit the side of it rather than the front, and generally closer to the base. Single milk jugs are pretty hard to knock over in general, though.
  • It’s also possible to knock down single milk jugs by ricocheting the ball off the back, making the jug fall forward (so it doesn’t get stuck), but it’s hard to pull off unless the jug is more toward the sides of the booth.
  • Try to keep throw strength on the weaker end; hitting the jugs too hard often makes them get stuck, or even worse, scatter across the booth while still standing up, making it impossible to knock them down with just one ball. Ideal strength should be just enough to knock the jugs over rather than have them wobble and topple over (for the sake of consistency). Full strength throws should be avoided for the most part, but can help with dislodging stuck milk jugs.
  • Wait until all the milk jugs have stopped moving before throwing the ball. Milk jugs are much harder to knock down when they’re wobbling, even in the slightest.
