Hi, I’m Bunnyfox! Here with a quick guide on how to become eggcelent, and get started with AFK Golden Egg farming.

What are Golden Eggs?

Golden Eggs are a buff item that gives a character a random stat boost, of a small amount. They stack infinitely on your character and are permanent upgrades. A few of them is not noticeable, but after a few hundred (Or thousand!) Your character becomes an unkillable, grinding machine. Allowing you to complete any challenge with absolute ease.

However they come at a hefty cost of 10,000 gold per egg. This may seem like a lot to a new player, but, with this grinding method you’ll be able to buy them in the tens of thousands with a very minimal time investment.

First off, let’s see what’s required to do this farm – as it’s only possible late game.

Getting Started!

I know, it’s all very exciting! But there’s a rather large step that you need to complete before you can begin. This is to unlock Queen Sigma.

Queen Sigma is an extremely powerful character (That you can’t spend eggs on)

This character can only be unlocked by fully completing the Vampire Survivors base collection (DLC Not required)

If you haven’t touched the DLC, you’ll unlock queen sigma with around ~129 items in the collection unlocked.

There are many guides on how to do this, but, long story short, you’re going to have to beat most of the game to get to this point. This could take anywhere from 20-100 hours, depending on how efficient you are.

If you have Queen Sigma, and all the arcanas and items that you need – Let’s begin with our first step.

Part One (Farming with Queen Sigma)

Before we can really go crazy with gold production, we will have to get some starting gold to fund our farming character.

The character I will recommend you farm with to get started is Queen Sigma. This character is extremely powerful and it’s very easy to get setup so that you can AFK with her.

For reference… this is how it looks once you get started, with only 12 minutes of active playtime required before you can be fully afk!

Now, how do you achieve this AFK glory? It’s actually really simple! And you can be mostly hands off from minute one. This does not require much active play.

First off, select Queen Sigma with a maximum of two weapons. This is important as we don’t want our other weapon slots filled up with items that will lag out our game, or waste our level ups.

Next up, we will select “The Bone Zone” secret map with every modifier for maximum gold production. This is because on this level, bags of gold have a high chance of dropping to make us enter Gold Fever. Also, the modifiers increase our gold gain.

Now – you begin by selecting an Arcana. I like to start off with XIII – Wicked Season – this is because this arcana scales forever giving you a bonus every 2 levels.

Then you will walk up to the merchant and purchase another Arcana for 20,000 gold, and a Candy box.

With your second Arcana select XX – > Silent Sanctuary. This Arcana gives us a bonus based on how many empty weapon slots we have… which is a lot.

With your Candy box select the weapon “Greatest Jubilee” This is very important as this will make our gold production very fast due to spawning light sources. These light sources will drop Gold Bags which will cause our Disco of Gold Arcana to constantly be putting you into Gold Fever. This is our main strategy for gold generation.

You should get another Arcana on your first level up, which you will spend on XV – Disco of Gold. causing the farm to begin.

All other Arcanas we’ll choose: Mad Groove, causing everything on the map to come near our character. Pick up all the items for extra health and curse, the bosses that spawn shouldn’t really make you do much. They die pretty easily. The Beginning for extra sword damage, and Slash, for even MORE Sword damage. A chest containing an Arcana drops at 11 minutes on Endless so make sure to pick it up right before you AFK.

The order you pick your passives doesn’t matter, just make sure you grab them all BEFORE you pick up the items from Mad Groove, as this will allow you to have more items than you normally can select –

We will choose:

  • Empty Tome for CDR which means more money, and more powerful sword.
  • Candelabrador which means sword hits more targets at once!
  • Attractorb which means we pick up more gold!
  • Skull O’ Maniac which curses us for more enemies… for more gold!
  • Stone Mask which causes… more gold!
  • Torrona’s Box which makes us more powerful AND causes more curse, for more gold!

Once you have all these items, you can pick up the map items that teleport to you with Mad Groove.

At this point your build should be mostly complete, and you are just spamming the space bar to level up whatever and make sure everything is maxed out. Once your build is fully complete, you can just walk away. This should be around 12 minutes… see the photo above. Let the game run while you do whatever, until you’ve earned 5-10 million gold.

End the run by Esc -> Quit to claim your gold whenever you’re happy with how much you’ve made!

This is important because you will likely not be able to die even if you try, but don’t worry, exiting the run through the menu will let you keep the gold you’ve made.

For quick reference, the build:

  • Queen Sigma, Max Weapons: 2
  • The Bone Zone: Hyper, Hurry, Arcanas, Limit Break, Inverse, Endless, all enabled.
  • Passives: Empty Tome, Candelabrador, Attractorb, Skull O’ Maniac, Stone Mask, Torrona’s Box
  • Weapons: Victory Sword, Greatest Jubilee
  • Arcanas: XIII – Wicked Season, XX – Silent Sanctuary, XV – Disco of Gold, VIII – Mad Groove, XVI – Slash, X – The Beginning

Then… AFK for as long as you wish! After you’ve looted 5-10 Million, you can spend all your gold buying eggs and begin your true farm!

The Main Farm (+Spending your Gold!)

Now that your Queen Sigma farm has been running long enough to net you 5-10 million+ Gold, you can begin with the real farm!

Your first step is to select the character which you farm with. There are many solid options, but for this guide – we will select Big Trouser.

Big Trouser is the best character for gold farming due to his passive, and starting with whatever weapon he wants. (We will choose the sword.) His passive nets him 1% more gold per level, and we will be leveling up A LOT. I put 20,000 gold eggs on my trouser. I don’t recommend much more as it’s very difficult to reach the Merchant now with how much movespeed we have. I personally just don’t even go to the Merchant anymore, cut the Slash arcana from the build. I quickly select my build in the first few seconds so I can AFK almost immediately and just let him passively gain me as much gold as I want. You should have ~100 rerolls so you can just force whatever build you want. Just make sure to follow the build above so you can be in constant gold fever, making tons of gold!

We will use the same build as before with one small change.

Change Candle for Crown, this will give us more EXP… for MORE GOLD due to our passive!

Now this build will work infinitely for grinding millions upon millions of gold per hour and only a few things can go wrong.

The Build (+What Can Go Wrong?!)

The Build

  • Big Trouser, Max Weapons: 2
  • The Bone Zone: Hyper, Hurry, Arcanas, Limit Break, Inverse, Endless, all enabled.
  • Passives: Empty Tome, Crown, Attractorb, Skull O’ Maniac, Stone Mask, Torrona’s Box
  • Weapons: Victory Sword, Greatest Jubilee
  • Arcanas: XIII – Wicked Season, XX – Silent Sanctuary, XV – Disco of Gold, VIII – Mad Groove, X – The Beginning

Now… what can go wrong while you afk?!

  1. An arcana chest will drop at 11 minutes. If this chest drops on you, it will automatically pick it up and you will have to select an Arcana. This will pause the game so make sure to pick an Arcana so it keeps running.
  2. If you max out Torrona’s Box, and Victory Sword, picking up a chest will trigger the evolution for Sole Solution. Make sure to pick it up so the game keeps running.
  3. Because Trouser starts with Candy Box, he’s guaranteed Super Candybox Turbo on his first 5 chest – which again, will pause the game. If this happens just select no item (Skip at the bottom.) And it will let the game keep running.
  4. If you tab out, the game will pause.

These 4 situations are the only ways your gold grinding can be halted during your AFK. You shouldn’t ever die with this build/character/setup. So make sure to not tab out and select the items to keep things running. If you’ve done that, you can just leave it running while you sleep. You’ll wake up to hundreds of millions of gold, trivialising the rest of the game as you have now attained infinite power.

Conclusion (+Results)

With only a short time investment, you can see the power of Big Trouser @20,000 golden eggs.

I know it’s hard to see, but the clock at the top is at 2 minutes 10 seconds.

If I can leave you with one final recommendation, do this right before bedtime! Nobody wants to just sit there and wait. Just turn it on and go to sleep once you hit this point and you can infinitely grind gold!

If you do this before the DLC on Bonezone, you can make your DLC experience a little faster by pumping all the characters with eggs, and also using trouser to quickly race to the coffin!

  1. I figure it’s good to sus out what can generate the most gold overnight (7 or 8 hours), maybe + the time for a school day or something and get all the gold generation done in a single day if possible.

  2. Big Trouser, 20,000+ Golden Eggs invested – Disable the 7 drop items from torches that aren’t gold related or a treasure chest in the collection menu using Seals.
Dairy Plant, 4 weapons, all extra options enabled.
Victory Sword / Greatest Jubilee / Clock Lancet / (either Santa Water or Pentagram for the 4th)
Clover / Crown / Mask / Skull / Torrona’s Box / anything you like for the 6th, your other important stats should either be maxed out already or you can pick up a stage item for them.
Pick up the Attract Orb from the stage itself along with the others. Discard the Wings.

  3. I’ll have to try out Death Spiral instead of Echo Night, as I kept trying to end the run at around 170ish mins in, but it got super laggy – to the point Esc didn’t open the menu! I also didn’t run it with the GPU lag fix on, so maybe that contributed to the lag too, thanks for the tip though that should be really helpful!

  5. Oh one other thing: Does the map type really have to be Bone Zone? I want to put forward the idea of using some better map type with different enemies that doesn’t constantly get more powerful like the Bone Zone, and simply use the SEAL powerup to ban item drops other than money. Would that not work?

    • I always used the bone zone because it basically forces gold bags to drop. That being said, you’ve raised a good point. Apparently my friend died at the 148 minute mark too, so it seems the 148 minute boss requires movement.

Adding a Death Spiral should in theory help you scale harder if you wish for that, but, by the time you’ve hit the 148 minute mark you likely have enough gold to pump trouser and just use him.

      • I doubt Mt Moonspell would be best imo, I’d guess Mad Forest would be good or the Library because I think what’s most important would be smaller, easier to kill enemies than having big beefy waves show up. Mt Moonspell has quite a few waves that are giant ogres and stuff like that with few enemies on screen at once.

  6. I managed to get past the 148 min mark with Sigma in the Bone Zone. I got to around 180 mins before I quit out. The only differences were I got a Super Candybox II Turbo drop and picked up the Echo Night, and also bought an additional Arcana from the Merchant, XXI Blood Astronomia for some extra damage. Not sure if that’d be helpful for everyone but it seemed to work for me! Great guide by the way, it’s been helpful!

  7. There is one single (non-DLC) change that I think might improve this build:
Drop the weapons to 3, start with the Greatest Jubilee, never take the Victory Sword.
Yes, really. I think the Sole Solution is causing most of that lag and without it more time can pass for more enemies generated, and compared to better options *the damage isn’t even that good* when scaled up with 20k Golden Eggs.
I’m going to try replacing the Victory Sword with a certain DLC option or two next, that will probably be my last test)
