Void Crew – Download Mission Tips

Tips to Beat Download Mission

Сrеdit gоеs to !

The download mission is the timer. You just need to fly around and not let the station take too much damage or you fail. And when the download % (timer) is finished you are good to jump to the next mission.

The person going out to the station should quickly, hover (not walk because walking is slower than molasses) hover through the maze, get all the items and throw them out into space, while the pilot aims the gravity scoop at the door (the door the scavenger is throwing items out of).

Note: You can throw items very far by “charging” the throw, by holding right-mouse for about a second and then letting go.

After you’ve got all the items, the scavenger can then start the download and go back to the ship.

The gunner can see which enemy ship is “person-locking” and should try and shoot that ship first.

This whole time, obviously the pilot should not be leaving his seat, and be dodging enemy fire while staying in reach of items with the grav scoop, and ready to get the scav back on board.

Bonus Tips

When the person outside the ship is running low on oxygen, they ONLY need to go in the airlock, close the outer door, and pressurize the airlock…. then their oxygen should be instantly refilled, they can de-pressurize the airlock, and go back out.

A lot of people waste that extra time, opening the inner door, and/or taking the suit off and putting it back on. The time does make a difference, while being attacked and whatever else.

Downloads also typically have turrets for the scavenger. Very good ones, that help a lot with base defense. They say they have a range of 0, but it’s actually a 2km range. It doesn’t overheat or use ammo, and its accuracy stays consistent, so you never need to stop firing (though it’s not perfectly accurate to begin with). The scavenger coming back to the ship should ideally happen once the download is just about complete, unless that turret gets destroyed.
