First you need to do her quest and invite her. Then you need high fame. Then you need to side with Fang, or Ji’s rival.

I think I did this by accepting his hero card but I also married his sister so it might be that. Then while traveling on the map a random encounter will occur where she says she was hired by Ji to kill you and you have to fight her.

Then I think I remember you get a choice to kill her or spare her, but if that’s right obviously spare her. Then some of Ji’s forces arrive to attack you both and you have the choice to defend her or run off. Pick to defend her.

Then some conversation happens and she gets the fate tag.

Note: Remember to get the Seal from Jiuli Tribe first, before helping her to win the gamble. Doing this will get you one more legendary blade skill.
