War Selection – West Asia Guide

I write some strategies for this game.

Strategy Guide to West Asia

Сrеdit gоеs to Zouan!

Intro

Intermediate guide, ideal for 1v1 or frontliners looking to master gameplay with Asia, as the focus is on leveling up quickly and building bases that are unattractive to your enemies.

Your biggest challenge will be food, and you have to remember that your buildings are weak, so you need to have many towers to protect them.

How to Better Start

  • Find the iron, build 6 houses, and use 2 workers to construct the temple. Press to upgrade the era and continue building houses until you reach 14.
  • As soon as you level up, recruit a worker and build the Poultry Yard near where there will still be fruit.
  • Upgrade your buildings and your workers, keeping at least 15 in the Stone Age to collect food from hunting.
  • With at least 8 workers gathering iron, advance to the next era as soon as you upgrade the last house.

Iron Age

  • Once you advance to the Iron Age, upgrade the population limit and in the warehouse, acquire Metal AX and Metal Chisel.
  • Build more 3 Barracks and get all of its upgrades (get the upgrades separately…)
  • Construct 4 more houses and towers, at least 6 close by to protect your center, your houses, and the location where you collect food.
  • Keep building more watchtowers where you collect resources; when you have the resources, upgrade them.

Medieval

  • Upgrade at least 6 of your towers, starting with the main ones so your workers can get inside in case you’re attacked.
  • Acquire the vision upgrade and recruit more workers or unlock the population limit.
  • Build or upgrade a Shooting Range and get the Weighted Tipe upgrade.
  • Construct 6 stables, and once the first one is ready, acquire the Light Abrasive Sharpening upgrade.
  • Upgrade your buildings in the following order: Towers, Ports, Warehouses, and lastly, the remaining houses (to avoid reaching the population limit, upgrade some houses before other constructions). As soon as the building upgrades are completed, advance to the next era.
  • When you already have the Mameluke or Sabaz troops, delete all your Barracks.
  • While advancing through eras, keep recruiting Sipaks and building more houses until you reach a total of 24.

Notes

The Medieval Era Spearman (Azap) only moves quickly but is very weak, so it’s better to use the Heavy Spearman until you start using the Mamelukes (don’t need to upgrade your Barracks).

The Medieval Era towers in this Asian civilization take a long time to build, so construct watchtowers where workers will soon be gathering resources before upgrading them to Medieval towers. If the location has plenty of resources, build more than two towers, always constructing them in a triangle to cover each other.

Avoid fighting with your Sipaks, as they lack defense, are expensive, and die easily.

If you have Mamelukes, you don’t need to fear enemy troops, as they are only defeated by heavy troops, which are usually very expensive…

Brief

  • With 27 ~ 30 workers, you start to advance era, and a good time is 03:00 minutes.
  • Maintain 15 Stone Age workers and continue recruiting until you reach 40 (A good starting time for Medieval is 10:00 minutes).
  • 8 workers in Iron to advance to the Bronze Age.
  • 12 workers in Iron to advance to Medieval II.

Here are the timings for you to practice and become experts in Asia:

  • 03:00 ~ 03:30 – Temple upgrade.
  • 04:30 ~ 05:00 – Bronze Age.
  • 06:10 ~ 06:50 – Upgrade to Iron Age.
  • 09:50 ~ 11:00 – Advance to Medieval.
  • 12:40 ~ 13:40 – Medieval.
  • 16:40 ~ 18:00 – Advance to Medieval II.
  • 19:00 ~ 23:00 – Advance to Industrial.
  • 24:00 ~ 28:00 – IR1.

Number of Houses:

  • 12 houses in the Stone Age.
  • 18 houses in the Iron Age.
  • 24 houses in Medieval I or II.
