Useful Tips on Defeating Dullahan
I knew it, of every boss monsters in the game, only this guy provides the hardest challange, finding and killing him are both hard.
There are many ways to defeat him:
1) Hire a straightforward male Warrior pawn with huge stature, the bigger his muscles and the taller he is, the better. Make sure he is equiped with Dragon’s flight weapon fully upgraded with Dwarven enchantment and the wyrmfire enchantment and also his armors. You want him to have the highest Knockback power in the party, provocation/knockback res/def augments and agro skill.
I recommend hiring this pawn, he is massive and helluva strong like a bull:

2) Dullahan’s weakness is his head and it is very hard to hit it consistently with melee vocations, I suggest you change your vocation to Archer, Magick Archer or you can just demolish the creature as Sorcerer.
- Archer: Spamming explosive arrows, Heavenly shot or deathly shot to his head.
- Magic Archer: Sagittate Avalanche or just unga bunga with Martyr’s Bolt and Allheal Elixir.
- Sorcerer: Casts Augural Flare to his head, or just call some meteor to bury him.
3) When you spot him, tell your pawns to go so the SF Warrior pawn will distract him, watch the creature staggering and you will see openings, use that chance to do some damage to him.
Note: If you’re a Warfarer, Magick Bow migt be more effective against Dullahan than Duospears. Like the other person said it is hard to hit him consistently with melee. Also, if possible, give your main pawn Holy Damage (Celestial Paean and Empyrean). Overall, “Holy” element is difficult to come by and if I’m not mistaken there is no spell or spellbooks to infuse your weapons with it. Only some weapons have it by default. I personally use Heaven’s Key and a Magick Bow to kill them. I find that the Sagittate Avalanche ability is really useful againstt them.
