V Rising – Troubleshooting Guide: How to Fix Game Start Bug / No Private Game and More

Here you can find the fixes and temporary workarounds for the frequently game’ issues.

General Fixes

Reset your settings by deleting the “v1”, “v2” and “v3” folders at
%appdata%..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Settings
- (copy/paste that line on your file explorer)
Verify files: Steam > Right click on V Rising > Properties > Installed files > Verify integrity of game files
Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date
Please try restarting your PC

Game start bug

If you can get as far as the region/birthday setting but you can’t get any further than follow this steps:

Exit the Game
Navigate to your local Client Settings folder (%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Settings\v3)
Delete the “ClientSettings.json” file
Relaunch the game and it should work

No Private Game (Live Branch)

Problem: On the start, we can’t launch a private game. The option is not clickable. I started to configure my game on a private.. During the loading, client crashed.

Solution: Please note that this is caused by antivirus and can be fixed by turning off the antivirus or making an exception for the game files.
