The Map

Grey markers for berries and honey near the Felling site and Refugee camp mean that you lose these nodes: the berry bushes with Breaking Dead DLC and the honey tree when you unlock the camp. Honey tree and apple trees near the Farmer’s house don’t work. Remove 3 stumps in place of Lighthouse apple trees to regrow it.

General Tips

• Go to Ms.Charm before you talk to anyone else, you’ll get the Journalist perk and a couple of free stories.
• You’ll need only one teleport stone. Cooldown is shared between any additional stones you buy.
• If you’re stuck between Astrologer and Snake advance in Ms.Charm questline a bit to bump Snake’s reputation.
• Bring 5 maggots when you go to Astrologer for Nekronomikon, the Lighthouse keeper will ask for it.
• Before digging up Gerry you may want to familiarize yourself with the open part of the map. Time is paused till Bishop stops talking with you.
• You can exhumate any corpse currently at the graveyard for Yorick, take the one oddly buried at the bottom right corner or the one he asks you with 3r/1w.
• There are 2 breakable barrels in the Dead Horse, 2 near Trading office, 1 barrel below it and 1 barrel near the house left of the egg trader. And a broken hive behind Beekeeper.
• To move around quickly borrow some money from Merchant or sell couple of grave papers and buy the Teleport stone from Horadric for 2s. Keep it in inventory, it won’t work from bags.
• To unlock Mead recipe from Horadric, organize a first witch burning and then give him gold star beer.
• To unlock Onion recipe from Horadric, grow onion crop yourself. It won’t count dropped or purchased items.
• You can sometimes collect green apples from lighthouse trees but the occasion is rare and the apples aren’t for cooking.
• Bring 1 skull on your first meeting with Astrologer, he’ll ask for it. Use Yorick’s exhumation permission to get one.
• Apple trees are preferable than berry bushes because of yield/waste balance. You get significantly more apples than berries. And you need just 10 apples per bucket instead of 25 berries. Berry beverages are not the top priority even if they sell a bit higher in tavern, but you need a lot of booze for Comedy standup. You’ll get same amount per 1 item but with less harvesting hassle.
• It’s not the endgame if you die, you’ll just wake up at home. You can die trying to get to town, from mobs or picking up the keepers diary. But only in the dungeon it counts for the achievement.
• In some playthroughs I bypass the blue points story-lock by saving money for 25 pts book from Astrologer, mostly to unlock Woodcutting, Circular Saw and stone fence for further blues grind.
