Alright, in this guide I will show you how to get to prime areas of the map ahead of the competition. You’ll be fully armed before other players even get close to touching down.
How It Works
Let’s ask the question: What is Launch stacking? In essence, launch stacking is done by jumping off of a launch pad and landing back onto it. In essence, this doubles the speed and height gained by using a launch pad, allowing for quick and easy traversal of the map. I’m too lazy to record a video, so 13:45 to 13:55 of this video should cover it…
In my experiments with this I’ve found that two is the limit, and stacking your launch any more won’t yield a higher or faster jump.
Pregame Launch Stacking
There is a second method, and that is Pregame launch stacking. When done correctly, pregame launch stacking will supercharge your initial drop off of the truck to the point where you could reach The middle of the map from the coast. This would buy you valuable time to gear up and loot the area before any competition arrives. To launch stack pregame you must find one of the jump pads in the world, and use it when the starting timer reaches 5 or lower, the goal here is to be in the air when the timer reaches 0 and the match loads. I don’t have a video for this so you’ll just have to try it for yourself.
Map, Locations, and Accessibility
Now some of you might be thinking, “yeah, the pregame stuff is great and all, but where are these launch pads?” Well, I’ve found 2 so far, one in factory on top of the highest silo, and one in Area 54. I’ve marked the map showing these locations. It is optimal to spawn in one of these locations, but we can’t always get what we want, so I’ve marked all the nearby spawn areas, as well as the time it takes to get from them to the nearest launch pad.
3 minutes for tall work to factory, 1:58 for Point Of Impact to Area 54, and 1:37 for the winter town to factory. (that’s 3 minutes for tall work to factory, 1:58 for Point Of Impact to Area 54, and 1:37 for the winter town to factory respectively in metric for all you Europeans out there.)
Here’s the map:
