Basic Controls of the Game
If you’re having trouble figuring out how to interact early on, don’t sweat it. Happens to the best of us. My advice? Poke around a bit, try pressing different buttons, and keep an eye out for any hints or prompts that pop up. Trial and error, my friend.
PC Controls
- Press Z to Start the Game.
- Press Z to Interact with Items.
- Press X to Exit the Item.
- Use Arrow Keys to Move (Not WASD).
- A little later in the game. Press X to Open Menu.
- The Picnic Baskets next to Mari is to Save Your Game.
- If you exit the game, it will not save it (I learned the hard way).
- When you return to the White Room, Walk around, Press X (Your Menu), and click Stab.
Gamepad Controls
- Up – Gamepad key Up
- Down – Gamepad key Down
- Left – Gamepad Key left
- Right – Gamepad Key Right
- Confirm – B
- Cancel/Menu – A
- Run – Y
- Tag – X
- LB – L
- RB – R
How to Change Controls
Alright, so to switch up your character’s speed in this game:
- Option 1: Hit up the Settings menu and tweak your running or walking preferences there.
- Option 2: If you’re feeling the need for speed right away, just hit that Run button and watch your character dash like there’s no tomorrow.

lol thank you, I’m dumb and I couldn’t figure out how to pick the options menu or new game. You saved me from slapping my keyboard at random like a monkey
If you hold down “X” or the equivalent button on a game controller during a “cutscene” (most of the longer in-game text-dump sections) you can skip it.
