F2P and Low-Spender Team Building
If you do not have enough resources to build a separate team for every element, build one permanent core and swap only your DPS depending on the matchup.
The general setup is:
Best Matchup DPS + Rookey + Somniwing + Glacy
This setup uses seven Aniimo in total to cover every element, with most obtained for free or through events.
Permanent Core
| Aniimo | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rookey | Breaker / Tank | One of the strongest breaker options and highly durable against different elements. |
| Somniwing | Support / Utility | Ideal for F2P players and obtained for free. |
| Glacy | Healer | Described as the best healer. A free Prismana is available at level 40. |
DPS Coverage
| DPS | Elements Covered | Acquisition |
|---|---|---|
| Irisalis | Water + Earth | Available for free from the next week’s event. |
| Prismana Grizbo | Fire + Ice | The only Prismana in this setup that requires grinding. Use the free Sparkling AniPod here to guarantee a perfect result. |
| Lunara | Wind + Dark | Best starter and obtained for free. |
| Prismana Stellarys | Grass + Lightning + Light | Available from the previous weekend’s 50% increased Nurture event. |
For each fight, use the DPS with the best matchup while keeping Rookey, Somniwing, and Glacy in the other slots.
Alternative Turbo Setup for Lunara
For a Lunara-focused team, replace Rookey with Turbo.
Turbo can provide:
- 30% damage
- 30% break efficiency
Combined with Lunara’s break skill, this reduces the need to rely on a dedicated breaker.
Normal Turbo is recommended if you simply want to try the setup. Prismana Turbo is another option.
For Lunara, Prismana Turbo provides a 30% damage and break-efficiency bonus. For Stellarys, it provides those bonuses plus up to a 36% Dark damage bonus.
Activating Turbo’s Full Buff
To get Turbo’s full buff:
- Use normal attacks four times.
- Use Turbo’s buffing skill.
This increases the bonus from 15% to 30%.
Rookey Requirements
Rookey is considered one of the strongest breaker options.
Aim for at least 7 Break IP.
Rookey does not need to be Sparkling if you have a Perfect version. An Elite version is also sufficient.
Rookey’s Dark element gives it at least neutral effectiveness against the majority of elements, and it is physically tanky.
Team Building by Game Mode
Teams serve three main purposes:
- Exploration
- Egg Heist
- Holo Sim
The recommended approach differs between these modes.
Exploration
Exploration does not require a specific team composition.
It is easy and straightforward, so serious investment in a dedicated Exploration team is unnecessary. Use whatever Aniimo you have available.
Egg Heist
The recommended team is:
Lunara + Stellarys + Somniwing + Glacy + Gracewing
This team uses ranged attacks to exploit enemy AI, allowing you to attack around corners while staying safe.
Only limited investment is necessary. Level your Aniimo and perform some additional training on your DPS. Extensive additional training is less important because Egg Heist enemies scale far above you, making player skill more important than build investment.
Hexxin in Egg Heist
In coordinated team play, Hexxin can be used as a main option for one player because of her AoE suction skill, which is useful for grouping enemies.
Using Hexxin this way can make coordinated Egg Heist runs much easier, but it is not considered viable for solo play or random groups. For those situations, use the Lunara, Stellarys, Somniwing, Glacy, and Gracewing team.
Hexxin’s grouping ability is her Black Hole skill.
In Egg Heist, Black Hole is available when Hexxin is the Lead. Non-lead members use Core skills, so you cannot simply replace a non-lead Hexxin’s first skill with Black Hole.
Hexxin regenerates 10 energy. Somniwing provides a 30% regeneration boost, while Besauce provides 20 energy and passive energy generation.
Holo Sim
For Holo Sim, build one optimized team strong enough to handle the combat rather than using a generalist team with interchangeable DPS characters.
The recommended structure is:
Main DPS + Breaker + Regen + Elemental Support
Build the team around one DPS and maximize that DPS’s performance through the other three roles.
DPS
All DPS options are viable in Holo Sim and can clear the content.
The choice largely comes down to playstyle.
Fulmintis and Stellarys have the best output, but this level of optimization is not necessary. Any DPS can clear Holo Sim when the team is built correctly.
Breaker
A dedicated Breaker is mandatory for this setup.
The Breaker’s element should cover the weaknesses of the main DPS as effectively as possible. This provides faster breaking when the DPS faces enemies against which it deals less damage.
Use the type charts to determine the appropriate Breaker for your DPS.
For bosses with real shields:
- Use the Breaker to bring the break limit down.
- Set up your buffs.
- Perform your DPS combo.
- If the boss survives the first rotation, repeat the process for a second rotation.
Defensive investment is particularly valuable for Breakers because they need to remain active while reducing the enemy’s break limit.
Regen
A Regen unit is mandatory for this setup.
Faster energy generation increases damage output by allowing abilities to be used more frequently.
Somniwing is the best-in-slot option on almost all teams because of its versatility.
Some niche mono-element teams can use alternatives. Besauce is specifically mentioned as an alternative for electric teams.
Elemental Support
The Support slot should be used for a dedicated elemental damage buffer rather than a healer.
Choose a Support that buffs the element of your main DPS.
A buff described as increasing basic attack damage also buffs skill and ultimate damage. For example, Luminelle is the best electric buffer and buffs the skill and ultimate damage of an electric Aniimo even though the buff description only mentions basic attack damage.
Holo Sim Combat Approach
Against general enemies in Holo Sim, focus on producing DPS rather than spending excessive time on specialized break setups.
Against bosses with real shields, lower the break limit with the Breaker, set up the DPS combination, and attempt to defeat the boss in one rotation. If the boss survives, repeat the process for another rotation.
A team centered around one DPS and heavily supported by appropriate buffers can allow that DPS to handle its own elemental weaknesses.
Generalist and Specialized Holo Sim Teams
The F2P generalist setup is designed to cover every element with a small roster. It uses Rookey, Somniwing, and Glacy as the permanent core while switching between DPS options.
The Holo Sim setup is more specialized. It centers the entire team around one main DPS supported by:
- A Breaker that covers the DPS’s weaknesses
- A Regen unit
- An elemental damage buffer
Healers are considered a poor investment for Holo Sim because raw DPS is preferred to ensure faster clears, even against unfavorable matchups. This differs from the general-purpose F2P setup, where Glacy is included as the healer.
