Cyberpunk 2077 – Trauma Drama Walkthrough Guide

General Tips

I assume you already went through the game and feel like its impossible to get first place.

If you haven’t I suggest you try it a couple of times. Familiarize yourself with the weapons, enemies, maps and controls. you can spam continues to finish the game.

  • Your objective is to get first place in order to get the trauma team outfit and mini-av apartment decoration.
  • Your score to beat will be 443.300. Doing so means finishing the game without dying.
  • Ignore the strat of farming enemies falling from helicopters. As of patch 2.0.1, they no longer give points.
  • A single run of this game takes around 30 minutes.
  • Picking up weapon power ups instantly swaps you to that weapon. be mindful of this as it can screw you over.
  • You might want to mute in-game music.

Pro Gamer Tips

  • Your chief concern should be staying alive. Focus on dodging bullets, grenades and not running into enemies more than killing them. To get first place remember that you will most likely not be able to afford a continue.
  • Your second concern should be killing enemies that despawn off screen. Helicopters give 1k points, Flying drones give600 points + power up and Melee enemies give 100 points.
  • Take things slow, there is no time limit and there is a set amount of enemies that spawn.
  • It is in your best interest (once you get good weapon) to avoid rescuing civilians. Pickups dont despawn and running over a weapon both swaps to it and replaces your third weapon slot. This means you have to press L twice to return to the weapon you were using beforehand.
  • Avoid using the LMG after the first level if you can, the gun’s wavy pattern makes it difficult to hit jumping spider drones on even ground.
  • Be careful while using the Missile Launcher. It sometimes bugs while locking on to enemies, making the wait in between shots extremely long.
  • Combat drone pickup can sometimes bug and not spawn at all. When this happens, exit the arcade machine and re enter.
  • Hitting an enemy awards 10 points. This is relevant because, once you get the hang of the game, farming easy levels / bosses with the standard rifle will award more points than using other, higher damage weapons.
  • Once you finish a stage, consider jumping to high ground before the ‘stage complete’ message appears. The AV that picks you up is kind of slow and doing so saves a couple seconds every stage.

Level 1 – Westbrook

1-1

Pretty much a tutorial stage. Try to get all the drones and melee soldiers that you can.

Your score here should be around 10-11k.

1-2

Do your best to hit the explosive barrel right at the beggining of the map, then jump down (watch out for the red bridge, it breaks down after a couple seconds!) and shoot out the helicopter from the low ground. Shotgun / upgraded Laser are pretty good here.

For bonus gamer points, try jumping to the higher ledge at the end of the map.

Your score here should be around 25-27k.

1-3

Endurance Round!

You get a couple of seconds before being swarmed by enemies and helicopters. Your best bet is to rush to get all civilians. grab whatever weapons you can – I got nice results with an upgraded LMG . it is a good idea to kill drones close to the middle of the screen, or else you might not be able to pick the power-up without taking damage like a gonk.

If you are having trouble with this stage, try standing where I am, and alternate between clearing left and right sides of the low ground, and hit the helicopters and higher grounds when you can. Remember to take it slow, there is no need to rush.

Your score here should be around 55-56k

1-4

Vertical stage should be easy, try not to rush your jumps. Make sure that there are no more enemies spawning before climbing your way up. Shotgun is pretty good here since diagonal shots will cover most of the screen. Avoid laser if you can because vertical aim with it is kinda scuffed.

Your score here should be around 68-69k.

1-5

Stick to low ground for as long as you can. Rush to it at the start of the stage so you can get under the helicopter. Upgraded laser or regular shotgun are pretty great here. Try to focus on getting at least 2/3 helicopters.

Your score here should be around 89-90k.

1-6

Boss Fight: Neckbeard With Katana

Neckbeard with katana has 2 attacks:

  1. Nothing Personel, Kid

He will dash around the map, you have to jump over him. Diagonal jumps worked best for me but you can dodge this move with a vertical jump aswell.

  1. Boku no Windu Cutter

He will throw wind at you, or something like that. jumping over it can be tricky. What worked best for me was running with the cut and then doing a diagonal jump in the opposite direction

Once the fight starts boss will dash to the middle of the map, do his second attack once, then dash again to the left side of the map.

After that first display, the boss will dash three times, stop at the middle during the fourth dash, throw three wind cuts at you and resume his dash. this pattern repeats throughout the fight.

There are 2 civilians at the start of the map and 2 at the right edge. I suggest avoiding the 2 on the edge so you dont get nicked by the boss during his dash.

Laser and Missiles work great here. I suggest skipping shotgun here (or crouching before shooting to get max damage but that is risky).

Remember to focus on dodging!. Use the lamppost and two mossy walls to better time your jumps. worked every time for me

Your score after the fight should be around 99-100K.

Level 2 – Pacifica

2-1

Spam diagonal-right fire at the start so you can get right to damaging the helicopter. Remember from here on out that you can crouch and fire to better deal with the jumping spider drones (and dodge their jumping attack!. Avoid LMGs whenever you can and stick to low ground for best results.

your score should be around 128-130k.

2-2

Much like stage 2-1, the first two helicopters can be kind of tricky to get so dont stress too much if you miss them. Shotgun/Laser work very well here.

Your score should be around 162-165k.

2-3

Endurance Round!

Similar to westbrook. rush civilians to get weapons and find a spot on the low ground to control the stage. what worked best for me was an upgraded Assault Rifle and holding the middle bottom of the map, the ricochet cleared multiple enemies and kept me pretty safe throughout the map, do not hesitate to leave your comfort zone to pick up a granade or shield powerups, they work great here.

Your score should be around 185k.

2-4

Much like the first two levels, there are two kinda tricky helicopters to get here right at the start of the map, do your best to kill them but do not stress too much over them. lowground and shotgun are kings here.

Rush to the right side of the map at the end (where the red and blue tent are) to better position yourself for the last helicopter.

Your score should be around 215k.

2-5

The start here can be a bit rough, it might be in your best interest to ignore the first helicopter and hurry to low ground. the middle of the map is mostly flat so Laser works like a charm.

Your score should be around 247-250k.

2-6

Boss Fight: Hangry Bald Animal

You fight this boss on a flat area, much like the westbrook boss, there are two weapons at the begining of the map and a third one at the right edge, but I recomend skipping that one, I fought with and upgraded assault rifle without much problem.

This bald son of a gun has three(!) attacks:

  1. Glass Rain

Simply stand on the gaps to dodge the attack and try your best not to corner yourself on the edge of the map like a gonk. if you are struggling during this part I suggest to stop shooting to better focus on your movement.

  1. Bomb toss

Boss will lob propane tanks at you in a semicircle above your head, you can sidestep them or shoot them if you have little room to maneuver.

  1. Jump attack

Boss will jump high in the air, hanging there for about a second and then try to land of you. stand still until boss starts to descend and then move the hell out

Easier than the first boss in my opinion, glass rain has a weird hitbox so I end up eating it more than anything else.

As for a pattern to his attacks, he seems to choose one, do it 1-3 times and then cycle to one of the other two. The most important thing to watch out is not to box yourself in during his jump attack because you might end up with little to no room to dodge his follow up moves.

Your score should be around 265k

Level 3 – Badlands

3-1

Near identical to its Pacifica counterpart (with the addition of mines which are simple to deal with) try and get the helicopters if possible. If you can reliably get to this stage without dying there is little that can pose a problem to you. Missiles are nice for this level but keep in mind that for some reason they cant lock-on to flying drones (the small ones that carry powerups).

Your score here should be around 291-294k

3-2

At the start of the stage you might want to slowly descend to low ground, taking the mines along the ledges to better position yourself to deal with the first helicopter. should be easy after that. Laser or missiles work great for this stage.

Your score here should be around 325-327k

3-3

Endurance Round!

The more difficult of the three, I suggest you alternate between middle center ground (the small yellow bridge) and left low ground, trying to shoot diagonally as much as you can. hang in there!

Same as before, get the weapon pickups as soon as possible.

Your score here should be around 357k

3-4

Vertical Hell

This is by far the worst and most difficult stage in the game. You must drop down from the ledges slowly, methodically. Do you best to use lower diagonal fire, and try to focus down range enemies first. I would advise against using Laser here. Remember to take your time clearing enemies before jumping down to certain doom.

Use shield powerup if it drops to position yourself safely and watch out for enemy diagonal fire!

LMG works fine here btw.

Your score should be around 375k

3-5

After beating 3-4 this stage might feel like a breeze but be careful! there is a double helicopter spawn right at the beginning. and the whole area is densely packed with mines, spiders and ranged enemies.

If everything went well, your score should be anywhere from 400-410k

3-6

Final Boss: Marvin Heemeyer

While not particularly difficult, there are a couple things going on during this fight so it might take you a few tries to be able to clear it without dying. If you’ve gotten to this point without spending 10k on a continue, chances are you will make it!

The arena is divided in 3 parts:

  • Two small high ground islands.
  • Flat middle ground (boss stands on the right side here).
  • Low ground with a hole where the boss is.

It is important to know that boss is immune to attacks made from middle ground. This means that in order to damage it you must be standing on high ground or firing diagonaly from low ground

A helicopter will spawn ocasionally on the top right corner of the screen, while ranged mobs will spawn from the left corner of the low ground.

Boss itself has four attacks:

  1. Machine Gun

A wavy pattern, slow moving attack that targets only the high ground. When boss does this attack your best bet is to get down to low ground and damage it from there

  1. Missile Artillery

Boss will fire rockets diagonaly to the sky, which will then fall down in sequence, starting from the left all the way to where the boss is. When this attack happens you should time your movement around the middle of low ground and move to the left side in between strikes.

  1. Great Balls of Fire

Boss will slowly move to the left side of the screen while throwing big red orbs that jump out from it and down to the bottom. Because boss hitbox covers middle and high ground, Your only move here should be jumping to low ground and fire at it from below while dodging his flaming balls.

  1. Charge!

Boss will move to the corner of the right screen and then charge to the left side of the screen, disappearing and reapearing back to where it always is. Your move here should be dropping to low ground as soon as you see it rocking.

And that is it! Your score after the fight should be around 450k. More than enough for first place. Congratulations!
