Mjolnir Locations

Mjolnir is a melee weapon that can be found in the Glacial Area. It is required for the God Of Lightning achievement and can be found during any weather circumstances. To obtain the weapon you need a fully upgraded knife to free the weapon from the block of ice. This guide contains a few locations where Mjolnir can spawn.

Glacial Area

Inside of the larger Glacial Area are a few locations where Mjolnir can be found.

• Inside the maze – One of the spawn locations is the same location as where the missing beluga can be found; inside of the large maze on the left of the Glacial Area. You can check this location from outside of the maze by following the wall on the right of it.

• Shelf under First Glacial Cave – Follow the right side of the Glacial Area down until you get to a large shelf. Mjolnir can spawn inside the small pit in the middle of this shelf.

• Shelf above Third Glacial Cave – Just above the Third Glacial Cave in the very bottom right of the Glacial Area is another small shelf. Mjolnir can be found on top of the center of the shelf.

First Glacial Cave

The First Glacial Cave can be found in the top right of the Glacial Area. There are two locations inside the First Glacial Cave where Mjolnir can spawn:

• Top Path – Follow the top path behind the turning puzzle until you get to the last trap before the pinball puzzle. You can find Mjolnir on top of the small cliff before the last trap.

• Large Room – Keep heading right through either the top or bottom path (if you’ve completed the cave before) until you get to a large room. Mjolnir can appear in the bottom right of this room.

Third Glacial Cave

The Third Glacial Cave can be found in the bottom left of the Glacial Area, just barely inside the Hydrothermal Vents area. It contains one location for Mjolnir to spawn.

• Pedestal Room – Swim through the bottom path until you get to a room that you can enter from the top. At the bottom of this room is a possible spawn location. The jade pedestal can also spawn in here.

• Large Room – Follow either path to the right until you get to a large room in the bottom right of the cave. At the bottom of this large room Mjolnir can be found.

Optimal Route

1. Check the maze on the left of the Glacial Area from outside.
2. Head over to the top right and go inside the First Glacial Cave.
3. Follow the path down and to the right and check the spawn location inside of the large room.
4. Go up past the pinball puzzle and check the second location inside of the First Glacial Cave.
5. Leave the First Glacial Cave and check the two shelves on the right between the First and Third Glacial Caves.
6. Swim down to the Third Glacial Cave and follow the bottom path and check the Pedestal Room.
7. Follow the path further to the right and check the large room inside of the Third Glacial Cave.
8. These were all the (known) possible spawn locations. If you found Mjolnir don’t forget to capture a fish with it to complete the God Of Lightning achievement.
9. Leave the Third Glacial Cave and follow the wall on the other side of the entrance up and back down on the other side until you get to the mirror to go back to the boat.

Unconfirmed Locations

Mjolnir doesn’t seem to spawn for me anymore (bugged?), so I can’t investigate further. Here are a few locations that I’ve seen people talk about but couldn’t find screenshots of.

• Above the maze on the left – On top of the maze on the left of the Glacial Area.
• In front of the beluga room – Inside the tunnel before the beluga room.
• Inside of the control room – At the very bottom of the Hydrothermal Vents inside of the control room.
